Microsoft might actually bring some much needed oversight and quality control to Activision Blizzard.

It's anti-trust and bad for the industry. No company should have that much control. Also, they just bought Bethesda Softworks. It's insanity for them to be allowed to buy one of the biggest third-party publishers in the world right after that.

If it improves Activision Blizzard and helps Microsoft and the Xbox thats better for the industry and employees. If Acti Blizz was a great company producing great games you'd have a point, but those two are nothing but trash producing trash while treating there employees like trash. Nothing worthwhile will be lost by Microsoft buying them.

Activision Blizzard is one of the largest third-party game publishers in the world. Microsoft getting this much market control isn't a cure-all. Also, it will cause more layoffs.

I'm surprised HBO Max is still running at this point. It's been a complete and utter failure. Worse than DC Universe.

Basically, they were removed so the company didn’t have to pay the creators anything. So, as usual, the rich get richer, and the poor keep getting screwed over. Disgusting.

What? It was seeing exponential growth and was widely regarded as the best streaming service on the market up until Zaslav started blowing it up.

Despite all the recent removal of certain shows, it’s still the best streaming service out there IMO. I’ve been watching a lot of older movies recently that I missed earlier (either I was too young when they came out or I just missed them for whatever reason). I definitely still use this service way more than Netflix or Disney+ (and getting my money’s worth).

I’ve been watching a lot of older movies recently that I missed earlier (either I was too young when they came out or I just missed them for whatever reason). I definitely still use this service way more than Netflix or Disney+ (and getting my money’s worth).

It was pretty great but I've lost a lot of trust with them. If I have to constantly worry about things that I potentially like getting removed just to save a buck or be canceled no matter how successful it is....I might as well revert to my old ways.

Peacock is headed in the right direction imo. It just needs a makeover like Amazon Video finally got (which was THE WORST) and stronger originals outside of Bravo content (which I LOVE)

Don't know about the second part, but definitely just there to clear their debt and make the unpopular decisions that come with it, which isn't good. Also tells you how terrible previous management was.
