This is why I buy physical media.

Why would he pull them out completely? Most of his choices are incomprehensible.
That's a good guess, given their ongoing collaboration with Joy/Nolan. Do you think they may renew this for its final season, too?
I didn't notice it initially but the article says both shows will probably move in another platform owned by WBD. And that sources say a free ad supported TV that Zazlav is thinking of developing.
Why put your stuff on HBO, HBO Max (which has an ad supported tier), TNT, TBS, or your weird Discovery app (also has an ad tier)? Let's make another one!I didn't notice it initially but the article says both shows will probably move in another platform owned by WBD. After the whole Chapek mess, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a coup brewing right now
Or just Rome, their show. Oh, did they take that down, too...WB got more intrigue and backstabbing than ancient Rome.
Time for all older HBO shows to jump up on all our lists.I haven't watched Deadwood yet but it's on my watch list. If that gets taken down, Zaslav, so help me...
Remember when they were removing Max originals and made it sound like HBO channel shows would be safe... I miss that.HBO proper would is definitely worried. The add supported tier already kind of cheapened the HBO brand, and from the sounds of it, Zaslav is all too ready to cheapen HBO proper now.
If Zaslav tried to remove The Sopranos or The Wire from HBO Max they could probably boot him by reason of insanity.Time for all older HBO shows to jump up on all our lists.

To play devil's advocate with Zaslav, I have a feeling that we can't see the full extent of WB's financial issues. Like binning nearly complete movies is crazy but they're in a position where they can't even afford to release those flicks if they did finish them. I bet their books are so bad the pages are constantly catching fire.
Removing HBO shows from HBO Max might be even more baffling at face value. I think the streaming economy is probably a disaster for most (if not all) of these big providers. This surely must be an omen for HBO Max's future though. I know Westworld fell off a cliff but I can't even imagine what the projections must be if someone has decided that simply hosting it is not worth the money and resources. How long before people lose all confidence that their favourite things are going to be available to watch?

This looks like as good of a time as any to binge Westworld (loved the original movie).
Also, while understanding of the circumstances, I'm still waiting for Tales From the Crypt.![]()
