We all know the reason why it was created, but now that there are "No More Mutants", or at least a significant enough number to occupy and run the island, what should Magneto (or the current caretakers) do with Genosha?

Or is there a recent story I'm missing out on?

Well, Magneto has been ruling Genosha since back when Joseph died, long before Morrison caused the mutant boom. As mutants are meant to just be down to their previous levels, it makes you wonder quite how many mutants used to actually live in Genosha back then.

Genosha has pretty much been in ruins since the 16 million were massacred there in E is for Extinction. There wasnt much there but a few mutant survivors who are now a few human suirvivors

I remember back in Excalibur when Xavier went back to Genosha to reuild it, along with a thought-dead Magneto. And they had banned together with a few surviving mutants on the island. But since then, I really haven't followed the book after Callisto's tenticles were mutilated, or something like that.

Just about all those other mutants, including Callisto, were depowered.

Which is just as well. The whole story was getting boring anyway... Hence the reason why I posted this topic. But still, one question remains...

How the hell does Unus survive for this long, growing into adulthood, then all of a sudden he dies from his own mutation? Which writer do we have to thank for that hair-brained and ridiculous idea?

When in doubt blame the editor. I don't like M day, I like having a large pool of mutants to pull characters from. I can't wait for the Celestials to do something about this.

It's because he was repowered with the Terrigen Mists, which screw up mutant powers when they're brought back. It's not as ridiculous as you think.

Well remeber that it was supposidly nucked and most couldn't servive then all of a sudden people could live on it. I'd just revert back to the original concept after the sential attack and state it is unhospitable to life.

So what would happen if powered mutants were exposed to the Terrigen mist?

Also, could someone give me a brief history on the Terrigen mist. I know the Inhumans were powered by it, but other than that, I have no clue of it's origins or purpose.... Thanks.
