Now that you've watched the Blade TV pilot, what direction do you hope the Blade TV series goes in or avoids?

What are some of the things you want to see happen on, or with, the show?

The main 2 things I want to see are:

- The link to Trinity and why Daystar didn't kill all of the vampires.
- More action/Blade being Blade. He beat down people easily in the movies, but he had a hard time with the Vampire minions in that room. I don't want him to be completely unstoppable, but show more than what happened on that pilot.

The pilot was a bit "OK". I wasn't great, but It see somewhat of a potential in the show. David Goyer is a pretty good writer, so he could make it happen.

to be honest when i was watching the pilot i had teh same feeling that i had when i watched last time an uwe boll movie.

hmm...well, I just hope they take a page out of other great shows' books...and not make it eposidic like...we start an episode...then we finish it...they need to carry themes and storylines all the way to the end of the season...and everything they've been dealing with in this first season gets resolved or finished in the finale...and then season 2 won't be dragged down by things still carried over fromt the previous season...thats where shows like Alias failed...and another thing they need to stay away from...is things or themes like apocalyptic storylines that a Television budget just can't cover...like in Angel. So as long as they stick with what they know they can do...and not attempt anything too huge for TV.

I'd like to see them start withdrawing from the comicbooks...characters and villains that they can make work as occasional cameos like Smallville has done.

First off noticing that why were lowly vamps knocking him on his ass? why is it stemming from the movie, I mean I know a show usually draws from something but it can be a bit original and why did they take the character that played 'Smoke' from the show Over There to do this, he's not physcially capable to do the role either. It's something to watch when absolutely nothing else is on, for me anyway.

First thing, I wanna know why the Daystar virus didnt kill all vampires, then I'll be able to continue watch that show, I thought the pilot was going to explain everything, it explained nothing <_<

I was flat out dissapointed with it. The story was basically the first film just shrank and updated as they saw fit and weak Blade didn't do it for me.

I'd like to see them bring in Marc Spector/Moon Knight and werewolves into the show since they mentioned them in the pilot.

I would like to see more references to the Blade movies. I also think it would be a great idea as someone mentioned above to bring in some of the characters from the comic book. I would like to see some stand alone episodes as well as other episodes connecting to the season story arc. I just don't want Blade's team bogging down his screen time. Jones' portrayal of Blade is good. I just didn't realize how vital Wesley Snipes was in the role of Blade. But in time I feel Jones' could make the part his own.

If they knew that they wanted this series to take place AFTER the movies they should have chose an actor who is at or above the calibor of Wesley's. That way we could see the escalation of his abilities/hunger.

I also LOVE that they have vampires going to the next ability level with enhancements, but if they can't prove that Blade can handle LOWER-level vamps, what makes me interested in seeing him battle Super-Vamps???

I also like the idea of having a Werewolf element to the show, or any other mystical element. Although this is not in Blade fashion, he tends to ONLY deal with vampires.

watch it, Fanticon...an insult to Alias leads to an immediate ass-kicking. jk :)I'm having Alias withdrawls...

anyway, I really like the show so far, especially Jill Wagner as Krista, she's my second most favorite female ass-kicker now(after Syd Bristow, of course)

One complaint I have to make is that this Blade isn't as smooth a fighter as Wesley Snipes was. He'd practically flow through a fight, but Kirk Jones is down on the ground wrestling with some weak vamps and he hardly gets out of it with his life.

Otherwise, I like the direction the plot is going. I'd like to see some Werewolf stuff but that's all I can think of.

LOL!:D You so right. Blade seems to barely win every fight in the series, thus far, by the skin of his teeth. In the pilot Krista saved him...
Now this is sopposed to be the same guy that took out Deacon Frost, Nomak ...and Dracula....!?!
