NumbersInName Prejudice is Wrong

I don't mind if a poster has numbers in or after their name, I just think that there should be a separate forum for their kind. :o

With my user name being without numbers and properly capitalized, I feel like a wealthy white man!

I can't be bothered to remember the numbers after some users' names. That makes distinguishing between Kane[numbers] and kane[numbers] a bit odd, to say the least.

I was unaware that this was frowned upon. :csad:
I don't even know where to begin with you.

First I just checked the member listing.

There's no Marvel Knight or even MarvelKnight which I'm guessing is what you were shooting for. So that name was pretty much open to you.

Secondly, let's say that Marvel Knight wasn't even available because of the length. There's not even a regular mrvlknight but you still went ahead and put a 21 after it.

Lastly, your username is lower cased.

:down :csad:

Not frowned.

:cmad: <--- This.

Again, I was unaware. Why does it anger you/others?

There was some issue with using it with the full proper spelling, but I cant recall what it was (that was 6 years ago).
I guess I could check and see if I could change it, but I dont get the problem.

What are numbers good for except math and stuff. BAH NUMBERS!

Numbers generally portray a lack of imagination creating a username

like spidey19383

or wolvie69

It's the same as putting _Spidey_, The SPidey, Spidurman, *Spiderman*, etc...

just give up the ghost and name yourself accidentally after a guns and roses track...

jesus

I think Superhero-related names are generally a bad idea because it's the one thing we all have in common. Like you said, there are like 200 people with some variation of "Spider" or "Bat" in their name. It's not exactly gonna make you stand out.

A good username should be something simple, informative and unique.

I started with this name and changed it after unjust ridicule and peer pressure. After a while, the new name felt wrong. It wasn't me. I changed it back and have never looked back.

So to all of my numbered bethren, learn as a lesson from my foolishness. Be proud of your numbers and post proudly! It's who you are, nay, it's who we are! *crickets*

I have a confession to make.

My former Hype handle was Lupus 27.

I changed my name so I might be able to get into the country club.

My brothers and sisters... I am so sorry. :csad:

It depends if it's like SuperFerret as opposed to SuPeRfErReT? I'd put that above simply lower case.

That's why I asked about "CamelCase" and not "stupid".

I used to have numbers in my name. The shame... :csad:

As did I, but I've evolved beyond it.

Brown_2004 v. Board of SHH!

:awesome:

Two of them, actually. Cmill216 and TheCorpulent1.

Corp doesn't count because he's using the number as a word, and using it cleverly.

Don't be sorry. You may pity them, and try (as I have) to get them to change their ways, but we do not apologize to their kind.
