Am I the only one who would have been interested in this if it hadn't been Tom Cruise in the lead role?
Personally I've always preferred Tom Cruise as a villain than a hero, but I think he's serviceable in most roles; and he usually picks good movies, so I feel like his involvement is a good sign about the quality of the movie.

Why? Tom Cruise is a great actor, very solid in these kind of leading roles too.

I think this looks superb, and Cruise very rarely makes a bad movie, so I think this will be good, Kosinski visually has so far proven himself, but I think here he will in story-telling as well.

From SHH's front page. Running again!

I'm still in awe of the look in this movie.

Cruise has a master degree in Running in Movie and a PhD in Leather Jackettery.

thank god he is running. second ticket sold :)

I'd really like to see that gyrocopter prop thing in real life.

Saw this during the 49ers game.

Looks great, but felt really spoilery.

Cruise gives it his all and has an intensity most cant match. Plus he does even the insane stunts himself. His private life and whatever god he believes in or who's couch he jumps on doesnt factor into it for me. He is one of the few actors that always delivers for me.

Same here. People watch his act because Cruise oozes screen presence and charisma.

The new TV spot was awesome. I'm really pumped for this movie.

No, I think so too.

He's just obnoxious to me.
I don't hate cruise. I just don't see the fascination with him on both sides of the fence. He's only a marginally decent actor (IMO) who plays pretty much himself in every movie. He's popular because if his looks, personal life and a few good script choices. I've greatly enjoyed a few of his movies, but not really because of him.

Give me an over weight or unattractive character actor over him any day of the week.

How many Tom Cruise films have you seen? You want to compare his performances in Born on the 4th of July, Jack Reacher, Collateral, Eyes Wide Shut, Tropic Thunder, Knight and Day, and Magnolia?

Looking great, I can't wait to see the sequences with that amazing vehicle.

Yeah, that shot was something else.
