Got my ticket ready for the IMAX version on opening day, super psyched:D

I can't wait until this comes out so I can stop being bombarded with the trailers and TV spots that feature Tom Cruise's genitalia spaceship everywhere I look.
 
Yeah i'm seeing ads for it everywhere on tv, hopefully that's a good sign BO wise.

Wow! That poster even tops the first poster for this movie. I'd say overall it's had the best set of posters of any recent big movie.
 
The score is good but it's a bit underwhelming, I'm not familiar with M83's work except for the one and only Outro, but it seems to me that there isn't much of their identity in this, it's very orchestral, much more than what Daft Punk did on Tron Legacy, where it still sounded very DPish.

The first half of the score is really good, there are a couple of meh tracks, my favorites remain Starwaves, Waking Up and Oblivion, I do like the recurring theme, but it doesnt sound electro enough.

Sorta, Joseph Trapanese worked with Daft Punk for Tron Legacy and also worked on Oblivion with M83 so there's definitely some similarities.
 
I'm fairly sure this was shot digitally but in an IMAX-like aspect ratio. Does anyone know for sure?
 
4K digital that is fitted for IMAX, so yeah it wasn't shot on IMAX but it'll look just as good to the average viewer.

I see, it was shot in a formula that is SIMILAR to full frame IMAX format, but not 100% full IMAX.

At least it will not be like fake IMAX and take up most of the screen.
 
I'm looking forward to checking this out. I wasn't big on Tron Legacy, but it had some great visuals. Hopefully this will have a well told story to back up the visuals. I'm also really hoping there's a trailer for Elysium with this.
