There's more talent on the Indians' bench than there was on the Nationals' entire roster. Acta will do better b/c the Indians are a much better organization.

I really never understood the Victor Martinez trade...I mean the guy is such a good player. Hes in the Mauer league of top catchers in the game (batting wise)

There was likely pressure by ownership to trade him to clear some salary.

Though Martinez is somewhat overrated. He'll be 31 next season so his defense will only get worse. As a 1B/DH, his production isn't as impressive.

On a topic that actually matters, this just kind of makes you realize how dumb the extended playoff format is.

Due to Saturday's rain and the extended playoff schedule, the Angels have had 12 days off this postseason, which is as many as they had from June 2 through the end of the regular season. They played 113 games during that earlier span. They've played eight in the postseason. They have yet to play three days in a row.

Remember when the World Series was already done by this point? Yeesh.
