Ok, it looks like he isn't around. So...

OMG YANKEES11!!!!!!1! WE'RE THE BEST! **** YOU ANGELS, FISH, YOU ALL SUCK! YANKEES 4 LYFE!!!!1!! [/Gamma Ray]

:) :) :)

Man, those Angels are an annoying team! Phillies should be a lot of fun! It's great to be back in the WS again! 27 is so close!

God, you suck. I was a far better post-victory Gamma Ray than you were. Good job calling the inspirational team annoying. You truly have all the class:word:

Alright, I just want to say that it was a fantastic season with a disappointing end. Go Phillies, do not let that piece of excrement known as A-Rod win a ring. He is a disgusting human being and beyond a dirty player, in every sense of the word.

As for you Poeman, all I can say is congratulations on your team making it to the World Series. Even if you did only pay attention for two weeks.

Lastly, RIP Nick Adenhart, sorry they couldn't honor you completely. It would have been nice to see his dad get the ring, but apparently it just wasn't meant to be.

Next year man. Next year.

It's true. This season attracted more bandwagoners than in past years.

What about Tampa Bay? When they suddenly shocked everyone, suddenly they had a TON of bandwagon fans.

Same with the Phillies, now. There's no "purity" with any of these teams that make it this far.

I'm a Yankee fan, and I'll admit that we're pretty *****y in who we decide to attack. It still bothers me, to this day, to see how A-Rod was mis-treated by the fans. Hell, if A-Rod had been having the postseason that Tex is having...everyone would still label him a choke artist. He'd be getting booed in Yankee Stadium.

The bandwagon thing is unavoidable. Sadly.

It is the worst collapse. No other team has ever been up 3-0 and lost in a 7-game series.

Yeah, the papers are pretty much like tabloid when it comes to sports here always headhunting either the Mets or the Yankees. Both teams get pretty trashed, from what I've seen.

Indians need a guy like Bobby Valentine.

Last I heard, Bobby V is living ontop of the world in Japan. Happiest he's ever been, or something something. I wonder if anyone could lure him back to the MLB.

"If C.C. Sabathia starts Game One of the World Series, the Yankees will know they won tonight."

Brilliant insight, McCarver.

Yeah, McCarver can say some of the dumbest **** I think I've ever heard during any sports broadcast.

A-Rod with another dirty hit. Nothing like the slap obviously, but come on. There's sliding hard and then there's throwing your elbow up into the other guy's crotch. He's just a dirty player in every sense of the word.

He's playing hard. Not dirty, just hard baseball.

Dude, overkill from you.

The bandwagon Yankee fans still outnumber any other teams' bandwagon fans.

Ah no doubt, I have not been posting in this forum with you guys since the beginning...Anyways, the Angels are a great team and we all know this on this forum...They will be back to fight again next year.
My concern for your team is that they better sign Lackey...he should not leave for the Texas Rangers.

I still dont understand this thought though...

When teams win in every sport...you earn more fans. Franchises like the Blue Jays, Athletics, Royals, Pirates...All had so called bandwagon fans when they used to win.

Its just how it is in this world...Yankees will have the most fans because they have won more rings

Also if you look at it, the Florida Marlins have the worst fanbase in baseball..This franchise has won what 2 world series? They have been there in the playoffs yet this fanbase only came out to see them in the playoffs

That's what NYM stands for :csad:

self-burn!

He's playing hard. Not dirty, just hard baseball.

Dude, no one likes A-Rod. He's a prima-donna and kind of a terrible person in his personal life (cheating on his wife and all the other stupid things he did off the field) He's not likeable as a person. He's a great player, and proving it this postseason. but still, Yankee fans don't like him, his teammates don't like him, Jeter doesn't like him, his mother disowned him, his children hate him, his dog ran away from home, his fish die the second he buys them.

I think you get my point.

I'm not going to give the Yankee bandwagoners a hard time although, it would be nice if they posted sometime during the year instead of just the post season.

But you see it every year, Laker fans, when the Giants won, Rays fans last year. And no offense to those fans, they can be just as obnoxious as any other fan around here.

Everyone jumped off the Rays' bandwagon when they sucked this season.

I still supported them to potentially sneak into the playoffs. It totally didn't happen though.

Scientific fact from a Yankee hater?

Yeah, I believe you...pfft.

Whatever. You not believing it doesn't make it less true.

The Yankees get more bandwagon fans than other teams when they are winning. Because there is a higher population in the region that they play.

I heard an interview with Bobby V, the other day. He's finished with his contract over in Japan and he's probably soliciting offers right now for a position. Wouldn't be surprised seeing him trying to turn around a team like the Nationals.

Hopefully that's the only thing he solicites.

They might want to get some extra security for next Sunday. :o

Eagles vs. Giants at 1:00 pm followed by Game 4.

Game 4

Saturday, October 7, 1950 at Yankee Stadium in Bronx, New York

Phillies starter Bob Miller matched up against rookie Whitey Ford, making his first World Series appearance, as the Yankees tried to wrap up the series in four straight. New York scored two runs in the first inning, and with the help of Yogi Berra's homer, three more in the sixth to take a commanding 5–0 lead. With a 5–0 shutout, the first two Phils reached base in the ninth, before Ford got the next two out. Andy Seminick then flied to left, but left fielder Gene Woodling dropped what looked like the series-ending out, allowing two runs to score. Mike Goliat kept the inning going with a hit, and Stengel removed Ford to bring in Allie Reynolds. Reynolds struck out pinch-hitter Stan Lopata, giving the Yanks a 5–2 win and the World Series victory.

I am hoping so much for this...It would be absolutely amazing to see Whitey Ford throw the ceremonial first pitch

Yankee fans like him (now), and he seems to have warmed up to his teamamtes.

You seem to buy alot of the ******** sold around the years. Maybe you believe the Red Sox is a racist team, too? Or is that ******** too old for you?

Hater, too. Which is fine. Just, don't make it look personal as if he's killed your dog or something. It's really...weird to see someone get that personal over a ball player, man.

Everyone jumped off the Rays' bandwagon when they sucked this season

And the Red Sox bandwagon too. Suddenly, when they won the World Series...Red Sox Nation actually became a goddamn nation. That was legendarg bandwagonery going on there too.

It happens all the time. To say one team is better at it or something, is kinda illogical.

Whatever. You not believing it doesn't make it less true.

And you continuing to say doesn't make it true.

Whatever...:whatever:

Angels are a good team, Vlad suprised the hell out of me. I love Socia's managing, but I kinda have to second guess him for keeping Saunders in there to face A-Rod and to bring in Kazmir. Errors killed the Angels, and the Yankees took advantage.

Btw, how the hell does A-Rod not win ALCS MVP? Atleast Co-honors? sheesh.

You have comprehension issues. Acquire a sense of humor then come back.

I noticed that FOX had to go to the seemingly obligatory Kate Hudson shot in the crowd tonight. I guess "K-Hud" has been A-Rod and the Yankees' lucky charm, since they've finally risen to the occasion.

Brilliant insight, McCarver.

Anytime that Tim McCarver is caught saying something remotely cryptic, backwards or utterly asinine, I immediately think of that time that Family Guy made fun of him in one of their cut aways.

She has no chest. A-Rod can do better. He has too much money not to.
