How did the Yanks go down exactly? Sure the big guys didn't hit but it happens to all.
Strike out by the highest paid, least clutch player in the game, for the second year in a row. :o

That doesn't really mean anything.

No, but it certainly is fun for us who dislike the Yankees, and specifically hate A-Roid with a passion.

They Yankees went down at home with the 2 highest paid players in the game coming up small and their $180M first baseman doing nothing. The Dbacks were able to at least tie it in the 9th on the road against the best home team this season.

Ryan Howard with ruptured Achilles tendon, out till mid-June at the earliest. Not a very good way to start out new 5 year/$125 million contract.

That was ball 4 to Napoli?

Edit: Nvm, it was correct but Verlander isn't getting a lot of the border pitches.

Tommorow night will be interesting: ALCS Game Two on Fox vs. Packers and Falcons on NBC.

Football always wins. Verlander couldn't beat Monday Night Football when it was Colts/Bucs

god damn rain delay completely killed the mojo we had going in that inning. Wilson was hanging pitches left and right and on the verge of implosion. Need to steal one tonight, especially since I just got Game 5 tickets for Friday,

To be fair, the first rain delay killed the mojo that CJ had going.

Wilson would've been yanked even if the rain didn't hit in that inning.

doesn't rain in Texas all summer and the first rain the area has seen was last night....quite funny

Not true. The Rangers had a 7-0 lead erased because a game got stopped due to rain earlier this season at home. It erased Mitch Moreland's first career Grand Slam.

oh...I thought there had been kind of a drought going on down there

They actually had two long rain delays in the span of two weeks at the ballpark earlier this year. One that got postponed after the Rangers jumped out to a 7-0 lead and one that got waited out when the White Sox leading 4-2. I remember being peeved at the lack of consistency. The Oakland one was a day game that got postponed after a 2 hour delay, when both teams had off days the next day; the White Sox one was a night game that got played out after two and a half hours, even though the two teams played the early game the next day...

Things aren't exactly getting better for the Tigers. Ordonez is done for the rest of the playoffs with a broken ankle.

Meh, he hasnt done much in the second half and playoffs anyway. Sadly Mag-pipes is a shadow of his former self, and basically just a "name" at this point.

Losing Delmon Young's bat in the lineup is a much bigger blow to this team. (can't believe I just typed that sentence :o)

A Rangers vs. Brewers series would be nice, with the Brew Crew winning it.
