Actually Stephen A. Smith predicted the Heat would lose and it'll be their wake up call. Wade is trying to defer to Lebron but it's not working. I can see Wade exploding in the next game. But Riley needs to coach this team because they have no respect for Spo.

Go Pacers!

If Riley thougth he could win with this team he would have fired spo a long time ago

I don't think Riley's got it in him to go through all that again. What is he, 80?

Also it would appear the Clippers adjustment for this game was to do exactly what the Spurs wanted them to do. An interesting gambit

Erik should have never been the coach for Miami. Let's face it, he's just there along with the talent, and it showed tonight. He's had no answers for the Pacer's D.

The players are at fault here as well. For the love of God, Chalmers is the only that kept false hope alive.

Phil Jackson had people doubting whether he contributed alot to the championships because of the talents he had like Jordan, Shaq, and Kobe on his team, but as we can see from Miami Heat, great talents do not automatically win titles, and you need the right coach to get it done. Heck, Jordan went 6 years without winning one before Phil took over as the coach. I think Spo should be replaced with a better coach, but I don't think Riley will do it, unless he's the one who replaces Spo.

Something conveniently forgotten. The Bulls had virtually the same team those three consecutive years they got bounced by Detroit. But the emergence of Scottie Pippen (someone else who gets shafted in favor of the Jordan "myth") and Phil Jackson put them over the top.

Honestly, I've been saying for a few years now that Wade's style of play is going to allow for the possibility of his game dropping drastically with age. He has that same reckless nature of D. Rose at times, and he loves to flop and fall on the floor to get calls. He really needs to overhaul his game, he's in his 30's now, and he's been injury prone most of his career already.

I wholeheartedly agree.

It was depressing to watch The Heat last night. I can understand Wade's struggles, he was playing injuried and cold, but the rest of the team failed to show up in the second half, and Spo never created adjustments. Let's not even mention the changes to the starting line-up.

Leadership is needed, and Spo is no leader. He's not even respected in the locker room. I doubt it'll be Pat too. He won't come back to coach The Big Three next year. I heard somewhere that Pat was against The Big Three concept from the beginning anyways.

I don't know about that. Everything I recall from near 2009 points at Riles positioning and preserving for cap space. If he was against it at any point, then he reversed stance and bought in quickly. Big time.

And Spoelstra never makes adjustments. Ever. I don't know if it's that he's incapable or just unwilling, but it's like pulling teeth.

Really? I heard stories that Pat Riley actively recruited LeBron, Wade, and Bosh to sign with the Heat, even inviting them to his South Beach mansion. Riley makes all the important personnel decisions within the organization, and I seriously doubt anything can be greenlighted without his prior approval. If Heat doesn't win a title in his watch, he will share the blame as well.

I know, it sounds mind-boggling but apparently several ESPN analysts today have touched on the subject. I thought the articles were complete fabrications but now we've got writers like Stephan A. Smith and Jemele Hill coming out and claiming that Pat was never fond of The Big Three concept, and if they fail to win a championship this year (which seems extremely possible right now) the Big Three will cease to exist in 2013.

More to the point though, Wade is on the record as not the biggest fan of Riley's approach, particularly the running. Pat's notorious for making guys run marathons in practice but honestly I think this team kind of needs that. I'm the last guy to make an excuse for them, especially Lebron, but the fact is with their workload and the style of play they have, a little extra endurance wouldn't hurt.

Depends if guys like Miller and Battier can be bothered to hit from outside. The spacing sans Bosh is piss poor.

Needless to say, Game 4 is of paramount importance.

Piss poor is too generous. It's utter ****, in my opinion.

By Game Four's end, we should know in what direction The Heat are gonna go in. It doesn't look good to me though, unless Wade gets hot and explodes and carries the team to victory on Sunday. It's happened before, I'll give The Heat that.

I was telling my brother that I thought this was a big reason they lost Game 2. The way he missed that lay-up in the end screamed out to me that he was trying to get an and-1 when he had a terrific look at the basket and could have easily (at least) tied the game there. Instead he fell to the floor the way he did, unless he really was that off-balance, but i doubt it I dunno.

Lol, that's just classic Wade right there. I like his game, but at the same time, that "miraculous" Finals performance he had, had just as much to do with bogus calls then anything else. He damn near wears an Iron Man suit under his jersey to help absorb all those self-inflicted wounds, but he's reached that age now where he has to make a decision, or he's going to rapidly decline in the next few years.

The irony of a Lakers fan b****ing about calls...

Haters gonna hate.

The majority of those FTs were legit and the ones that weren't balance out with the ones Harden gets from jumping into players and throwing the ball up.

Kinda unfair for both the Thunder and Lakers playing back to back games like that in the playoffs.
