~~**Official Car Thread 2010**~~

Yeah, the interior is a real beaut in comparison. I'm gonna try and do some serious e-mail haggling to see if they can bring the price down a bit.

The interior does look nice. Much nicer than the button fest on the other one, but I still can't get past the body lines or the word of mouth I've heard, though maybe they've upped their game since then.

That's what I drive now, yes I know it's a tank, but it was my moms. (I didn't take the pic I just got it off the interwebs)

I haven't gotten my car yet, I'm very fortunate to get a car at all. Right now I'm lookin for a Honda Station Wagon, or a Volkswagen Passat Wagon with no sun roof.

Most Jaguars after 2005 have had most of their issues resolved...as is my understanding from the long-time Jaguar owners..

I was looking around on craigslist and a local dealer is selling an 2007 G35x for $15,400.

Specs:
-89,000 miles (highway).
-Premium package
-Clean carfax
-clear title

Now, the mileage scares me a little. Should I even bother with mileage so high? How much should I expect to spend on maintenance now and how much longer will this car last?

I only average about 8,000 miles/yr BTW...

I still really want to check the car out....I've been told by Infiniti owners that I should expect to spend a few hundred dollars on a transmission and radiator flush and differential oil change at first.

Yeah, 89,000 miles is a bit much. Maintenance will be a pain b/c it's a luxury car.

Actually, compared to other luxury brands (Lexus, BMW, Jaguar,...etc), Infiniti's are actually cheaper to maintain.

That's well understood...but the added benefits and advantages are much more pertinent.. :D

The G35 is a beautiful car. I'm more into sporty/speed than luxury so I've been looking into the 350/370Z but as a single male in his mid 20s, Geico would destroy me :(

Well, don't you know that the G35x is the perfect blend of sportiness, luxury, and practicality? A 4-door sedan, all-wheel drive, 0-60 in 5.7 ain't too bad!

and if you're over 25, insurance rates ain't too bad...

25 in 2 weeks!

Def not hatin' on that car. I'd snatch one up in a second if I found the right one :up;

Yeah...I can definitely wait, but on the other hand, I'm sitting on stacks and I feel like my old car needs to go! :p

Maybe I'll wait and see if a G35x with less miles pops up..

I wouldn't mind having a Thorr Electric Car:

does anyone here mod their car or have done anything to theirs?

i want to change out my gear shifter out hah

i also want some pink headlights, can you get them anywhere?

I don't know about the pin headlights, but a tranny swap would run you in the ballpark of 1600 minus labor. Labor the mechanics could slap on up to 3g's to do that. Better learn to do it yourself, besides female mechanics are sexy.

I got the 2001 Firebird for my first car...I didnt have a lot of money and could have saved some and got a more reliable car back then...but I wanted somethin that kinda looked like a batmobile...and there wasnt alot to choose from in my small town

first pics of it...still looks the same...runs bad now :(
