Bring back BEn!!! I love Kaine and the new Scarlet Spider series, but I'd love Ben to come to Kaines rescue when he finds himself on the verge of defeat. Out of the shadows steps Ben in the old Scarlet Spider outfit or some cross of the scarlet spider hoodie suit and the Spider Unlimited suit using nano technology.


On another note does anyone have a Attakus Scarlet SPider bust for sale?

Well, Gage did write that issue with Spider-Ben and the X-Men in it about 3 years ago. So anything's possible. It could just be a homage to Spidey's 50th anniversary though. Guess we'll find out soon.

To all the Ben Reilly fans, just curious, would you be mad if you never got to see a live action appearance of Ben Reilly?

or would you be ok if the best you got was something like, Peter using the name Ben Reilly as a code name like if he was in hiding in the films?

I like Ben, but a live action version of him wouldn't work. It would be extremely cheesy. What, a blonde haired Andrew Garfield? No thanks. Some things should stay in the comic.

It couldn't work as ONE movie, but if done right it could happen. More likely as an animated original. Of course, the story would have to be heavily modified. Eliminate a lot of the fat and streamlined down to the core elements.

Incidentally, I've already scoped out a potential smokestack, which is even in Brooklyn.

Went by Jim Hanely's in NYC today to pick up a couple books my regular shop didn't get today. Happened to do a quick browsing and found they had the complete set of covers for ASM #692 all signed by Dan Slott on the shelves (creators come in, sign the books on the shelves, and they sell them at cover price like usual).

As much as I'd have liked to have gotten the complete set, I couldn't justify spending $36 for the same issue, signed or not (especially since I'm not planning on selling them anytime soon). BUT, I did pick up the regular and the 1990s variant, both of which have our boy Ben on them.

so I had a custom Scarlet mask made by a guy who makes wrestling masks... its currently being shipped, I also bought a light blue hoodie..... I think I might be making a Scarlet Spider costume....... any tips for the ankle puches or webshooters?

Look up the Backyard FX web shooters, they are pretty Reilly-esque, if I remember correctly.

Scarlet Spider is one of the better comics Marvel has been putting out this year...

I don't think it's any better than Journey into Mystery, Uncanny X-Force, Avengers Academy, Punisher or Venom. It's not bad or anything, I just wouldn't put it ahead of those 5 books.

The fact that you did not put Daredevil in that list really takes you down a notch in my eyes.

But on a serious note I just got Scarlet Spider # 9 and I'll be digging into that bad boy sometime this week.
