World Webbing formula - Part 1

The new video will be up early, it will be up on June 18, 2013. It is taking a long time to upload.

hey everyone. i've already talked this over with the current oldest members of this forum, who have given me the okay to bring this idea up to everyone else. The thing is...we're talking about technology and science and stuff...but this site is for discussing pop culture and current events. And that's not really what we're doing. other than the fact that it has to do with spider-man, i just don't believe that what we're talking about belongs to a more science and technology centered website. And I know that some people here also have other projects that they're doing, that don't have anything to do about comic books. So what I'm really trying to say here is...who wants to move to our own site? With our own forums. You can talk about anything technology related. Electronic hardware, software and code, mechanical engineering, anything. I have already completed creating the majority of the site, but before i publish it, i wanted to bring up the ideas to you guys. I will post a poll, and please leave your comments and ideas here.

Hey Guys, I'm New here and I'm from India
Besides, I have cooked up a few ideas of my own for a Spiderman Webshooter!
I am too a fan of Raimi's Series and hate TASM 1 and 2 [TOTAL CRAP] Itotally wish that I could Upload stuff but sadly, I can't cuz I'm New.
If anybody wants to review my ideas of a Spidey Webshooter, please e-mail me here - [email protected]
Thanks
Your friendly neighborhood gamer!

Hey, Ive been looking at this forum for almost a week now, and im really confused, about the whole PVA thing, and well, alot of other stuff. Ifyou could summarize where you're all at right now for the sake of me, and alot of the others around here, that would be Awesome.

I believe that after seeing the USMC's non lethal containment prototype that uses expanding foam. If you have 3 jets 1) has the hardener and 2 spin around that jet has a liquid Kevlar.

Im new this and ive read 18 pages so have an okay idea on this subject. Is this thread still active?

Hi guys! Not sure if this thread is still alive or not, but just pitching in what I can :ninja:

Found this new nanofibril called nanocellulose which could be the key to what we're ideally trying to create with our web formula.

Quoting Innvetia

"Because it's so strong and light, nanocellulose can be crafted into foam that can support more than 10,000 times its own weight."

Could this be the key to our web formula, it comes in the form of a paste combine it with some of the previous substances mentioned in this thread could it be a core component of the ideal "webbing" we're looking forward? Looking forward to some feedback on this, did here someone say it can made at home simply using a method called "hydrolysis" which theoretically sounds plausible.

Not sure if this thread is anywhere close to still being active... After reading through a majority of the thread, was wondering if there was a nice, compiled, final formula ever created.

you clearly DID NOT read the majority of the thread.

Elxiah! It's amazing seeing one of the only active members of these web formula threads, that's been here so long, like white widow, stanleewannabe, and batsam.

Also, I'm just putting this out there, but consumer 3-d printing has become a lot more achievable, the makerbot replicator 3-d printer is only US $2,899 and you can even find one at your local SAMs club, or best buy (depending whether their stocked up) , and will do wonder when testing and making containers, the shooter itself, and a lot of other parts, since they are very precise, and you get manufacture quality, best part, no tubes and duct tape! You just need to make the designs in the software to scale, put in the working parts, Ieg: Motor, Co2, tubes. Etc., put it together and voila, good looking, aesthetically pleasing web shooter

I'm getting the 3-d printer next weekend, and I'm gonna work on some designs for prototypes

Oh yeah, and one more idea! :3

Since size isn't a problem, I was thinking that the best thing would be to have a backpack, with very big liquid containers in it, for maximum capacity, and tubes going up your sleeve to the web shooter, for maximum capacity.

Unless, of course, it dissolves from the fluid solvent.

Also, I've only been able to find the MakerBot at Fry's Electronics. I don't think most people have $3k lying around though, so I think most people will just roll with common materials.

Also, if you're interested in backpack vessels, check out my WDM 2.6 design:

What is this gibberish?

i haven't made a webshooter design in a while because ive been so busy. but its cool that someone looks up to me the same way i used to look up to white widow.
