I doubt they gave his supporting characters better suits because "they re more experienced". Hal is supposed to have the cooler suit because he's the protagonist. Period.

I guess they didnt want to fool around a lot and instead stuck to the classic design, only adding those veins.

No, I'm pretty sure that they said Hal's constructs will be a lot less defined due to his lack of experience, and that includes his costume.

"Cooler" is up to the individual viewer, but the more experienced Lanterns do have the more complex and personalized suits.

I guess Abin Sur and Sinestro should have more refined and commanding suits, but Hal's should at least be cool. All those veins make it kinda trashy.

But i guess you guys are right. Besides, they ll want a new suit in the sequel and they ll have the justification of "LOL SO EXPERIENCED NOW XD".

It's the same costume. I don't understand how someone could say that when they look exactly the same. The only difference is that the garb is not lit up, and that is more than likely because the guy was wounded pretty bad to the point of death and that he isn't wearing hi ring.

The collar looks longer and more collar-like and less like an accordion. Which is the only part we can judge by, it's different therefore altered, and looks better therefore improved. I said altered not redesigned.

Did you ever take the time to think that the guy is laying down and his muscle (if that is what you want to call it) are contorted so as to change the shape of the collar? That is the same design with the lines fanning out towards the shoulders. It's only that his head is propped up that it is shaped differently. Out side of that it is the exact same costume.

I agree. Some people wanted armour and stuff, but this looks exactly right. I just hope they pull off all the CGI.
