I keep hearing that Sucker Punch is going to be better than some people think.

I'm hearing it's visually mesmerizing and the story is definitely a creative original take...not to mention tha action is top notch.

That's all well and good, but it's most likely going to tank at the box office.

Thank you Marty McFly. now what are tomorrows lotto numbers

Sorry I touched a nerve. It's going to explode at the box office and beat Avatar. James Cameron is nervous.

It is probably secure to say that it is MOGO, because of the Green Lantern headquarter planet OA is very much larger and has distinctive characteristics like rainbow-colored atmospheric lightings, metal-colored buildings and green energy beams sprouting from its inner core through six opposite directions.

Did the future change already? Its gotta be hard to be precognative.

That's what makes it so fascinating. Imagine, discussing a movie's box office possibilities before it actually comes out. It's unheard of. Especially on forums.
I'm ahead of my time.

It's just a shame when people get so defensive about it, as if they actually made the movie and the performance of the movie actually somehow brings them pleasure or pain. Interesting character study.

I think Showtime has a good hunch if he bases his precognition on the history of female super heroine film (or films with a female lead). They just don't do as well as their male counterpart films. Right now the film has an 87% (want to see) at Rotten Tomatoes. Let's wait until after the reviews come in and see if he is right.

I'll go see it to support snyder. I like him, and want to see him succeed.

Well if Green Hornet "succeeded" than I think Sucker Punch can do the same #'s if not better. Plus another film with strong female characters like Kill Bill succeeded and those films were R rated.

I think the Asian markets will be seeing Sucker Punch. It seems to be right up their genre ally.

Wikipedia is saying that "Sucker Punch" has a budget of $85 million (they got their info from Stephanie Sanchez over at IESB).

Wow, that's it? $85 million huh?

When it is all said and done....WB's will making a nice profit from Sucker Punch.

The movie could bellflop into oblivion for all I care. I just have a problem with people being so sure of an opinion that isn't backed by any facts.

Pedantic or not, I think Showtime is right. The movie looks awesome as all hell, but I don't think mainstream audiences will be able to connect with it...Boy I hope I'm wrong, as I'm an Snyder fan and also want him to succeed.

Tweens, Teens, Video Game junkies, tech VFX junkies, and genre fanboys in general will be all over this film.

Over 45 years olds will not be into this film too much...unless they end up going with their kids or something.

The PG-13 rating was the way to go for Sucker Punch without a doubt.

Huh? Thought it was an R. Well, that was a smart move by WB. That should help opening weekend.

The male audiences will love Sucker Punch (6)

And for more what the critcs says, what matter its is your own opinion. And what the audience will thing about a movie is completed unspected. And about the film, i preffer what first. But its important see to the reaction to the GL trailer and how hype as created for that!

there's a big green lantern panel today, and I'd be shocked if they didn't show the trailer, or at least some new footage

I just don't see it really resonating with the general public. What you touched upon in regards to the female super heroine film is a big part of my thought process. If I'm wrong, it won't be the first time or the last and I will take my lumps as I always do.

I hope it and he does as well.

Green Hornet really didn't succeed though. Not even hitting 100 million domestic against a 120 million budget which was most likely a bit more.

What was the Sucker Punch budget? What countries will it be released in overseas also?

Daily Beast reported on March 3rd that the budget was between 85 million & 100 million.

I feel like I will like it and anybody on this forum should, but the average Joe. Not so sure.

Depends on what demographic you call the average joe? Hope it's not Joe The Plumber types? LOL

That was a wise move.

If they're dudes, they might. You never get too old to look at scantily clad females shooting guns.

So you're basically saying this movie is for everybody? except older woman and men. Not so sure bout that. I will say I think it will open strong. I think the hold in the following weeks is where it falters.
