They have momentum from the previous films going for them. I have no doubt that if POTC will do well in theaters this summer.

Hope for GL footage in CinemaCon really blow people's head. The film needs of the kind of hype. And i believe we will see a convention video soon by WB (with no new movie footage in that case =/)

That's supposed to start in another hour. Maybe we might get a play-by-play from the guys at CHUD this evening.

i will laugh at Bruckheimer when POTC underperforms. if only i could be on the set in 2010 when Jerry found out that both Prince of Persia and Sorcerers Apprentice didnt make enough money. heheehhehe

Don't see it happening. I don't think it will crack a billion, but it still has Depp. Which means you have the large majority of the female population ready and willing to drag or be dragged by their significant other to the movie theater. It is the perfect film for moms, much like Alice was.

Transformers and Pirates will get 300 mil with their eyes closed, IMO. Doubt they'll get to 400, because they're a bit old hat at this stage (in particular I think 'Formers will suffer because ROTF sucked) but there's no way they struggle to get to 200 million.

The bad news is that there's a media blackout for the WB presentation, which means that we won't read any real-time tweets until afterwards. but don't worry, in 2 hours we'll hear if the Green Lantern footage is legit or not (if it's there).

Otherwise, there's also Wonder Con, which has the Green Lantern panel tommorow at 5 I think.

I think that's why WB was holding off using pictures of Ryan in the suit or the aliens because they're still refining it all.

The toys and other merch is a different story.

No, the initial images that were posted were not good copies. If you noticed the studio offered to exchange them for better quality images. I don't think anything has changed much as far as the CGI models of the characters go except for visual effects. These same models were used in the toys and video games.
