Anyway, the music in that scene was much better than the soundtrack previews. James Newton Howard doesn't disappoint.

That was gonna happen. Besides the previews being just samples, the score in movies are always more extended than what's in the soundtrack, or at least it feels that way.

I like how they cut the flying clip off just when the music was picking up and Hal was getting into his flight...frickin tease! :argh:

Saw this yesterday at the theaters in near one of the ticket booths. Looks great.

Resisting myself from watching any clips from the movie. Reading your guys comments about it gives a good impression that the cgi will be a lot better in oa scenes. I am sure it wil look awesome on big screen an in imax specially.

I always trusted JNH to bring a killer score. His work on BB and TDK is fantastic. Do you guys know if there is an official theme music for the movie?

I am a weak man. I can not resist the urges to watch all of these clips. It looks so awesome and I can't wait to watch this move, but I wish could've resisted watching all this new footage, lol. Hopefully there'll be plenty of surprises left.

Yet, if the GA watches these clips, it may encourage them to buy some tickets as well. :D

It's a little shy of two hours, same as Thor. I wouldn't pitch a ****ing fit over it just yet in that sense.

If people thought Thor was too short where character stuff was rushed I expect the same criticisms from this. I don't want to say anything yet, but I thought this would at least be 2 hours.

Not you personally, but I know some people will when word gets out.

Yeah, I guess that it's bound to happen. I mean it's not a deal breaker or anything because I'm still EXTREMELY excited for the movie, but I was hoping for a little more. Especially since it's an origin story. Oh well though, what can ya do?!

I had a dream that involved me reading the movie critics' reviews on Green Lantern from the RottenTomatoes website, all I remember is that the reviews were mixed, with an in between.

Also, from what I remember, there wasn't alot of negative reviews. What I said may not mean anything to others, but I just thought that it would inject needed freshness again (in this thread), and one last thing. The consensus for the movie. It was bizarre as hell, I didn't know what to make of it at all. It was like one of those "Oooooooooook" moments.

You dreamed about reading critic reviews? :funny:

Yep. Dreaming about something like that was definitely out of the norm in my case. Perhaps I am more restless and enthusiastic because of the movie than I think I am.

I had a dream I got kicked out of an apartment building because somebody wearing a me-mask was running around groping girls.

^ I once dreamed of critic reviews for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The general consensus was also that it was "meh".

Also, the entire movie consisted of Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave and the Fallen blowing up aircraft carriers and killing the Autobots that went to investigate the explosions one by one.

Not to mention that awesome dream of Denzel Washington as a cyborg pimp fighting Spanish dictators alongside bikini-clad hot chicks riding on flying SUVs.

Jerad Marantz has posted his concept of the Guardians and Hector:

I'm surprised Scar's there.

It's also interesting that they modeled Hector after Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Man, that kind of sucks. I was hoping that it would be at least 2h 15m. Just curious though, whenever the runtime of a movie is released, does that include the the end-credits?

I can't find a definite answer, but I think it does.

Stax from IGN said in his podcast that he's watching it this weekend so I imagine that means we'll be getting impressions by Sunday from the geek press. Reviews are embargoed.
