Ok.. Larger screen? Cool.. However the lack of a second thumb pad (Still!) is very strange.

I dont believe that I will be upgrading. I like my Zelda 3DS just fine.. Plus.. It at least has an AC Adapter.

Really? Mine is terrible, and I don't even use the 3D. Compared to the regular DS anyway.

the AC adapter is sold seperately which is another WTH? Why sell an electronic product without a charger?

So Nintendo was in denial for only a couple of months before coming clean. Looks like i'll be putting some moolah aside for it.

Same. Mine lasts for a long time. Unless you're doing 15 hr marathons, I can play for many hours before I have to recharge.

I much prefer a larger screen and larger system. I've got huge hands and was hoping for an announcement of a 3DSXL. When Nintendo denied the redesign I thought they'd be rocking the 3DS for a couple of years. I'm pretty mad.

EXACTLY. I bought my current 3DS based on that information. It's such ********. I would have waited two month and paid $30 more.

There were just rumors swirling around, that Miyamoto had denied. Now we know how that turned out.

I just find it insanely odd that they didn't give the XL a second control pad. It's an obvious flub on the 3DS.. hence the CPP.. Now, if I were to buy this XL not only would I need to buy another power cord (STUPID "cost cut" idea) but another CPP XL as well?

No Nintendo. No. Enough of your redesigns... This should have been the 3DS originally if they had to wait on launch then so be it.

I also hate the "two tone" color they're going to have. Red/Blue on top with black on bottom.

Apparently the power cord comes with the system in North America, and the old 3DS power cord works with the new one as well.

I was planning on buying a 3DS soon but fortunately I haven't made the purchase yet and this news came out about the xl. Looks like I'll be waiting til August and get this one. It comes out the same day as SMB2...sweet.

I agree about the coloring.

It comes with one in NA? Yeah, it's cool that the old 3DS power cord works... However most people will be trading their current version in toward this so if it didn't come with one they'd be boned.

I just got my 3DS last year for Christmas... my wife really looked everywhere for the Zelda 3DS so I'm keeping it. I may get this one too.. but with all the super amazing games coming out, starting in August, I'll probably just wait a while.

Nintendo releases games and hardware on Sundays. I think they released the 3DS on a Sunday, if I remember correctly?
