Eh, I'm an early adopter.. I can't help it. I remember people having issues with the 3DS too.

my 3ds runs perfectly, and yes I did perform all the necessary updates. think maybe its a problem with my router or internet, it seemed to do it mostly after trying to use internet related things like updating or signing in, even on my ps3 the internet is messed up so I wonder if its just my hardware

I'm getting mine from GAME in the UK, and there offering insurance for two years for £35. I'm taking it just to be sure, because I know what Sony are like when it comes to replacements/fixing products.

I was wondering about the DLC for umvsc3, anyone know how to get it on the vita since i have it on ps3 already?

I'd imagine your PSN account already knows you have it so you can just download it straight again from the store.

its strange, when I go to the vita store it doesnt show anything for umvsc3, but there is a data management section on the vita homescreen that asks you to hook up your vita to your ps3, and then get online with both, i think that might let me transfer the dlc but i gotta try it tonight

that looks cool. Have they mentioned how they are dealing with the non-existent L2/R2 buttons? Has that functionality been mapped to the rear touch pad? If so I wonder how difficult/uncomfortable it is especially when trying to string combos together

I'm not sure how they addressed the L2/R2, but I know for a fact that the rear touch pad is not used at all. They tested it out during development, but testers kept doing moves unintentionally.

Getting pretty excited just imagining myself playing Escape Plan at this point in time. I've got a tonne of essays that aren't due in until March but right now I'm just writing my way through them to give myself more free time when the thing gets here.

I will say that my insane excitement was somewhat quelled a few weeks back when I played RE: Revelations with the 3DS circle pad. The visuals in that game are astonishing and with the pad, the 3DS is essentially a Vita itself, so it did kill some of that 'first time' hype for me.

So.. I've come across my first few Vita haters (I dare call them Sony haters) who are on a mission to derail any Vita thread by posting that it's "not an HD system".

Now with that in mind: who cares if full sized TV sets begin their high definition spec at 1280x720? They're not the only video devices in existence. The picture that you get on a 960x544 5 inch OLED screen sure seems pretty darn high definition to me. So I would say yeah, it really is "high def".

In other news, why do I still check Kotaku for anything? I must be a glutton for punishment or something. They actually wrote an article talking about how they hate the Menu Music on the Vita. Music you can turn off by the way.
I'm all for opinion pieces, but Menu Music? Reeeally?
I'm done with them professionally.

The thing is, it's not just them. It seems that it's en vogue now a days to write at least one negative article about something, anything (not just Vita). No matter how minute the issue is. Fishing for hits. [/RANT]

Augmented Reality Mortal Kombat... i wish this was a launch title.

Just saw that the AR was just for the trailer. It will not be an option in the retail game. Nevertheless, the game looks great. Can't believe they packed so much into it and still keep the 60fps.

Indeed, the team's accomplishments with MK are most impressive. I might even buy it because of that.

I'm hoping some more games/details are on the verge of being announced, though. I want a date for LittleBigPlanet and a reveal for Killzone, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed and BioShock. I want EA to port Dead Space and Mass Effect from iOS onto the system if not deliver entirely new entries in both franchises.

And I want Sony to bring about Patapon's Vita debut. And SEGA needs to get Yakuza on there. And From Software needs the next Souls title to feature cross play on PS3 and Vita.

Then Sony Bend needs to do their next "We can make an actual game and not just focus on being a showcase now" game. And Evolution needs to make a big MotorStorm for it.

I saw the cases in stores for the first time this week and man are those small. For some reason I thought they would be only slightly smaller than a PS3 case, which I didnt think really made much sense considering the size of the games but I like how they are

Got a PSP just laying around? This week you can trade it in for $75 toward the purchase of a Vita at Best Buy.

Edit: Lets mark this a rumor for right now until I get more confirmation.

It might just be $50 because at GameStop I traded my psp go and only got $50 when they said you get an extra $ 25 I thought the trade in price for the psp or any other console was $50.
