Alright, so I did that Lockerz thing and looked more into it. First, it's legit and just in case, you pay through PayPal. Second, you get points for watching their videos (I just open them in a separate tab and keep surfing elsewhere while it's muted lol). Some are worth 300 points. Well, the more points you earn the bigger the discount you get. So I canceled my previous order and when I maxed out on the Vita discount I ordered it again. The maxed out discount brings it to $239.99. So just an FYI.

Unit 13 looks really good. It's on my list at least.

Trying to decide if I should get Little Deviants or if I should just wait. I'm sure it will be a big "trade in title" since it's also a pack in.

I kind of want to get Ultimate MvC3... Uncharted for sure. Not sure what else to get. Maybe Wipeout.

Yeah Little Deviants will be very easy to find used. I'm waiting for them to release the official price list for the download versions before I put down cash on the physical copies. Uncharted is the only game I have to have the physical copy of. Everything else depends on the price.

News on MGS HD for Vita.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Vita won't just be a straight port of the PS3/Xbox collection (of upscaled ports). Hideo Kojima revealed that the portable release will have at least some Vita-exclusive features, including Vita-specific control tweaks.

"You can slice enemy's throat with knife if you flick the touch pad behind," he said, referring to the throat-slitting maneuver in Metal Gear Solid 3. The "touch pad behind" is of course the Vita's rear touch pad. You can also move left and right on the rear touch pad to stretch in first-person view. Of course, these aren't just a neat bonus -- as MGS2 and 3 used all of the PS2's control options, including analog buttons and the L3/R3 buttons, some changes had to be made in the transition.

Kojima shared a couple of photos of MGS3's title screen and HD Collection menu screen on Vita, taken while sitting in a recording studio. Why was Hideo Kojima in a recording studio? Because actor Ginga Banjou was recording new lines for the game -- as Major Zero explaining the Vita controls.

I may have to get this... Even though I have it on the 360.

I've been slowly catching up with stuff But now I want a hand held console even more and so I've got a few questions and would appreciate somebody helping me out!

How much is the 4GB memory card?

Is 4GB good enough for just a few games&app downloads?

Can you use Netflix on Vita?

Do you need a memory card to save your user account and use apps like Netflix&Skype??

How much will the new games be?

Anybody think the Vita may drop price a bit quickly by the end of the year like Black Friday&Holidays or early next year??(since 3DS is still selling great and new Nintendo may be out this year and rumors about next Xbox out next year or 2014)

  1. A 4gb card is $19.99. If you plan on DLing games, I would suggest the 8gb card which is $29.99.
  2. Games range from 500mb-almost 3gb. It's why I'd go with an 8gb card at least. Other options are a 16gb and 32gb card priced at $59.99 and $99.99 respectively.
  3. A Netflix app will be available at launch (the 22nd)
  4. Some games require a memory card to save your progress, so you basically need one.
  5. Game prices are determined by the Developers, so they range from $29.99-$49.99.
Now, there are two bundles to consider. The First Edition comes with a WiFi/3G Vita, 4gb Memory Card, the game Little Deviants, and a case for $349.99. You also get the system a week early on the 15th.

The second bundle only contains a WiFi/3G Vita with an 8gb Memory Card for $299.99. Regular launch of the 22nd.

Both of those bundles include a free month of 3G and a free PSN game.

There is a WiFi only system that is $249.99. It has no bonus stuff.

No prob. Let us know if you need any other info.

Hold on to your PSP's/UMD's. No Passport program for the US.

Sony has told Kotaku that there will not be a North American version of the UMD Passport program, which would allow PlayStation Vita users to transfer their PSP discs to the upcoming handheld. Sony debuted the UMD Passport program in Japan last December alongside the release of the Vita. Japanese gamers can insert their game discs into their PSPs, register them on their PlayStation Network accounts, and pay a small fee to re-download their games on the Vita.
Unless Sony changes its mind or announces some sort of alternative option, North American PSP owners will have no way to play their UMDs on the Vita, though they will be able to access any PSP games they purchased digitally.

It won't affect me much But sucks for those who want PSP games to be compatible!

I cant beleive I didnt see a single Superbowl commercial for this thing or did I miss it? Sony missed a huge oppurtunity to help promote it

I wonder if Sony will give us early adopters anything if they drop the price fast ala Nintedo and the 3DS?

Oh yeah. This is just with UMD's. Your downloaded PSP games will work better than ever, especially since you have that second analog now.

Not sure what I can buy with that free PSN game (if its a set dollar amount.. say 15 bucks.. or a chosen title) but if I can I may very well get Strangers Wrath... If it's possible to play it on the Vita.

I know, how completely disappointing is that?

The company should have never made the Move and spent its entire budget for that on Vita marketing instead. :)
