Official Spider-Man 3 Soundtrack/Music Thread!

Signal Fire sucks balls. :(
I disagree. I think that the more you listen to it, the more you get to know it better and the more you get to like it and that's what I like about Signal Fire from Snow Patrol!

Very true, the first time I listened to it I was disapointed, but after I listened to it more I really started liking it.

Yay!!! The twist.

I didn't know if that was just a song that Peter Davids put in there or if it was a song that would actually be played in the scene in the movie.

Harry and MJ are flirting in the kitchen, cooking, and having fun.

"Come on baby, let's do the twist!"

lmao, BEST SONG TITLE EVER. i hope this is in the film :D Woah and The Walkmen too?! This soundtrack is a definite step UP from the past ones.

Yes!!! Another great soundtrack, especially love the Flaming Lips and Rogue Wave (who has one of their song in another Topher Grace film actually! "Eyes" is in 'In Good Company' crazy connection trivia I'm tossing out there).

Guys- go to Itunes!!! 'Summer Day' by Coconut Records is an old song! For those who didn't know that- I didn't so... there yah go, another preview listening. Sounds like this song is going to be one of the songs that will go into a montage type scene (think Spider-Man 2).

And Jet actually has that slight tecno type feel- hard to describe- listen to ITunes... I think these guys can come up with a pretty interesting sounding theme of the alien aspects.

Overall, should be another good soundtrack- very distinct types of artists on here-

Jet, techno? Are you high? That's like saying the White Stripes are trance...

there's nothing techno about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgyDaNBCpPE

Until they put some All That Remains or to a lesser extent Misery Signals on these soundtracks, they most certainly will not be recieving my money

the bands are generally better than the emo-fest that was the Spiderman 2 soundtrack.

It just goes from crap to crap,

one of the only huge downfalls I can relate to the franchise

Well, I guess we all know where "The Twist" will be playing...

...the Jazz Club. :csad:

While we're on what will play where, I just want to throw out my $0.02...

NOTHING...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SHOULD BE PLAYING DURING THIS SCENE (EXCEPT FOR THE BELLS RINGING)...And if they ARE going to use something in that scene, it should only be "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Carmen Daye/Michael Andrews from the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

From the point where Eddie arrives at the church/Peter arrives at the belltower to the point where Venom is born, NOTHING should be playing (unless it is "For Whom The Bell Tolls"...listen to it, you'll see what I mean...it'd be perfect for Eddie's "Humbled and Humiliated" speech.)...

Are there two Jets?

Because that's the Jet I thought it was... until I went onto Itunes and got all these techno type sounding sounds with heavy sound effects used in it.

Or is it the same band just with a different tune? Which is probably the case here.

And nope- the twist does not play at the Jazz club...

It's specifically stated in the novelization that Harry and MJ cook/flirt and have fun while listening to the twist. I didn't know if that was just a song that was used in the novel or in the film- but that listing shows that the screenwriter actually did intend it to be the twist from the very beginning. Which actually fits in quite nicely.

okay, from the Sm2 soundtrack, my favorite songs in order were "we are" by ana, followed by "ordinary" by train, and then "vindicated" by dashboard confessionals. and "hero" from sm1, is always awesome, brings back that feeling....you know what i'm talking about.

if you liked the above songs, tell me which songs you liked from the sm3 soundtrack...thanks

Could it be another scene a la Spider-Man 2 - Raindrops keep falling on my head...??

Nope. Just the scene that I described and how you picture it. Harry and MJ flirtateously cooking in the kitchen and having fun to "the twist"

But, the "summer day" might be that since it's another 'old' song.

Jason Schwartzman sings it with Kirsten Dunst. Are they doing a cover or a new song?

 really don't understand music terminology... I just know the song is already available on Itunes by the artist its listed with, thus it's an 'old' song... so it's not new... if cover means its the version by those artists - then it's probably that...
