Edgar is the man. Now all the people on BJ Penn's crotch can give him some respect.........or they could hate on him and call him a sissy for not moving up to 170 to test himself like they do GSP. There might be some boring claims too. lol

And what's with the talk of BJ being done? He's only had 23 fights, hasn't accrued that much damage over his career, and he's still relatively young at 31. The dude probably has plenty left in the tank, and he'd beat damn near any lightweight besides a few elite. I really wish Aoki, Melendez, and Alvarez were in the UFC to fight him.

BJ should just throw in the towel permanently if he's not going to train. It's a waste of time for him and, more importantly, we fans as spectators.

I think most of the crotch hanging stems from the comments Frank Shamrock made prior to BJ Penn's UFC debut. He said that the "Prodigy" would be the greatest fighter of all time.

He should, his entire career has been inconsistent. He has never strung more than 3 wins in a row throughout his entire UFC career dating back to 2001. He's had 5 rematches throughout his career and only once has he had more success in the second fight. He's pretty much done.

Frankie just has his number

Very true, he was dominated in every aspect of MMA for 10 consecutive rounds by a natural 145 pounder.

Frankie's cardio must be insane. Dude bobbed and weaved for 25 minutes!

Reminded me a lot of Clay Guida

Yeah. Both of those guys have tremendous cardio. Maybe they should fight if Maynard takes Edgar's title. Guida's always a good gatekeeper with exciting fights.

Is Maynard next in line? Oh boy, Edgar hasn't had much luck against him but it's been a while so...

Both Maynard and Edgar have improved. Edgar more than Gray, but the style matchup is there for Maynard to take the decision again. If Edgar can get off his back against BJ, then it wouldn't shock me if he could keep Gray from holding him down.

I'd wager Gray's a lot stronger than a spongey and not-training BJ Penn.

I know portugese and I distinctly heard Anderson Silva telling his fighter to play with Maia and run around the ring :)

^Guy hasn't learned a thing if that's true

Question for you guys though. Usually, when a guy's being put in an armbar(regular, not side or body), they pick up the other guy and slam/powerbomb him hoping he'll release the hold. Would it be illegal to pick the guy up and fling him over your head so that you go backwards and the guy lands on his face? He'll either break the hold to protect himself from the fall or take his chances.

That's perfectly legal but probably really hard to do.

Karo's back in the UFC.

BJ's looking for an immediate fight after his loss, since he's not injured. I'd like to see him fight Guida, but I'm partial to watching BJ get beat.

Looks like Thiago Alves's next opponent is John Howard. Haha. I wonder how getting knocked out will help Thiago's brain issues?

Alves vs. Howard would be awesome. Both guys have a nice muay thai background, so it should be a good standup fight. I wish Howard would get that grudge match against Anthony Johnson though. If AJ really told him to pick cotton, then I bet he'll be swinging for his head all night long.

After watching Shark Fights 13 I have come to several conclusions.

1. Shark Fights is very bush league.

2. Alexander Houston is a hair pulling *****.

3. Once again Sokoudjou snatches defeat from victor.

I'm really interested to see how Cody McKenzie does. His record looks excellent on paper, with 11 first round finishes, and nine of those by guillotine. It'll be fun to see how he does against some more experienced competition.

Some good fights last night. That Bruce Leroy kid is ridiculous. Like Jager form last season but way less of an ass.

Chael Sonnen Test Positive for PEDs at UFC 117

Chael Sonnen has reportedly been informed that he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs after his loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 117.

Sonnen will presumably be suspended, and a second middleweight title fight between Sonnen and Silva -- which undoubtedly would have been among the biggest fights for the UFC next year -- may need to be scrapped.

"[Sonnen] received his notice yesterday," California State Athletic Commission Executive Officer George Dodd told Sherdog.com.
