Last i read, Interplay is going to restart its in-house game development studio and Interplay has plans on developing sequels to some of its classic IPs contingent on if it can secure financing.
Those titles are: Earthworm Jim, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Descent, and MDK (the ones that still have the rights to, because all the rest was sold, Fallout to Bethesda, Alone in the Dark to Atari and so on).
They can´t use the Baldur´s Gate name or set in the forgotten realms universe (D&D video game rights belong to Atari), but they can name it Dark Alliance 3.

There is a Commando 3 for XBLA and PSN later this year (at least for XBLA).
About Dizzy...
The Oliver twins and Codemasters who both own 50% of the intellectual property have expressed interest in resurrecting the series, although the twins concede that it had to compete with the likes of Jak and Daxter and Ratchet & Clank.

Streets of Rage is an old game id love to see get the next gen treatment.

Ya, there are a lot of old games I'd like the see revived, but Streets of Rage is high on my list as a WELL DONE 4 player smash ppl side scrolling game hasn't been done for a long while, not that game companies haven't tried, but all the ones I've tried have been hardcore failures.

Lol, I forgot about James Pond. Where you stretched your upper torso.

Add in Maniac Mansion, but 3D where you can hide in closets and such and increase the game length.

Might as well toss in Kid Chameleon. Keep it 2D and keep the helmets giving different powers deal.

I've been calling for this for years. They can do Madden and NCAA every year, and NFL Street bi-yearly, but they cant make a new Mutant League Football?
