Does anyone else here besides me remember a time when Disney would crank out amazing movie after amazing movie with an equally amazing soundtrack?

I found myself listening to the 'Hunchback of Notre Dame' soundtrack this morning, and it's just so awesome that I'm going to be on a serious Disney kick.



So, what's your favorite Disney song? Why? Is there a story behind it?

Both great movies. I think I made my parents take me to see Aladdin five or six times when it was in theaters.

My favorite Disney movie will always be Sleeping Beauty, but Hunchback is riiiight up there along with Pocahontas.

I have a special place in my heart for the song He Lives in You from Lion King 2. That movie and song came out after my dad died. Great song and I lvoe singing it.

I saw The Lion King about 8 times in the theaters, wonderful movies. I'm still a big Disney supporter even through their decline in quality. The movies just don't have the same pop anymore, the animation doesn't look as welcoming or warm even.

I'm personally I bigger fan of when Disney goes dark. The Black Cauldron, last half of Pinnochio, Snow White, etc. People tend to forget how dark they can get.

Oh I completely agree! It's a reason I'm on a huge Notre Dame kick. I've been listening to Heaven's Light/Hellfire on loop for about an hour. It's just amazing how much power they crammed into that song. As well as Out There too... So good!! ^-^

Two of my favorite Disney movies are definitely "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin," though, if I had to pick my top two. Both of those soundtracks are amazing, as well.

Being as big a Robin Williams fan as I am [growing up, I would always love watching Mork and Mindy on Nick at Night], and noting even my comedy stylings, if anyone had to ask if it was Aladdin, then, well, damn .

"God Help The Outcast" from The Haunchback of Notre Dame" is one of my favorite Disney songs I really enjoyed that soundtrack altogether. And I loved the Aristocats "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat". There really are too many more to name, I love Disney and I can't wait to see the new movie hopefully its just as great as the other classics.

and i can sing We Are Siamese from Lady and the Tramp just like the cats, except for the purr lol

i love the song hakuna matata. ive loved it since i was little and i first heard on the lion king, and still love it today even though im not a little kid anymore. t: its that type of song thats ageless.

It's fantastic! I think my favorite part is when he starts saying how he's going to burn down all of Paris just to find Esmeralda. So thrilling, and it still has an effect on me to this day!
