LOL. This movie is gonna be a box office hit, no doubt!

"W"?!... hahahaha!

I can't wait. I wonder how they're going to do this film without either pissing people off or making them laugh out loud in their seats.

the cast is very intriguing, could be the reason I see this, not in theaters but just see it all in all.

Condi and Blair cast in W.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Oliver Stone has cast Thandie Newton to play National Security Advisor-turned-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Ioan Gruffudd as former British prime minister Tony Blair in his upcoming W.

Rice and Blair are the first non-Bush roles to be cast; Josh Brolin, James Cromwell, Elizabeth Banks and Ellen Burstyn had previously been cast as George W., George Sr., Laura and Barbara Bush, respectively.

Stone's film is expected to start shooting shortly. The movie will look at Bush's formative years and path to the president as well as his life inside the White House.

Among the key W roles yet to be cast are those of Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Karl Rove.

Thandie Newton as Rice :lmao:

As for Ioan Gruffudd as Blair, Micheal Sheen another welsh actor should play him as his already played him 2 times before in The Deal and The Queen. His spot on exactly like Blair in the role.

This is just getting stranger and stranger. Are they planning to age the actors with makeup? Because Thandie is way too young to play Condy. Same for Brolin and Elizabeth Banks.

I'm still hoping Stone throws us a curveball and makes this a comedy.

Oh, who am I kidding? It's a movie about Dubya, which is pretty funny in and of itself.

Yeah, they've already run the makeup tests for Brolin, and apparently they looked great.

This could turn out surprisingly good. You never know. The title is cheesy, but it shoudl be an interesting take on the least popular president...ever.

Bush isn't the least popular president ever. Dumbest? Maybe. Most hated? Possibly. But least popular? Far from it. That honor would go to William Henry Harrison. He died a month into his presidency.

Well, Bush is certainly the least popular to have been elected for a second term.

Why are people complaining about the ages of these actors as if actors have never been aged or de-aged in a movie before. Makeup can work wonders. Do we even know the time span/period this movie is covering?

and BTW, a lot of the people in JFK didn't look a whole lot like their counterparts. A little makeup here and there worked to achieve the looks, but obviously Stone wanted the best actors for the roles and took it from there...

Reactions To Oliver Stone's George W. Bush Script From Bush Biographers...

President George W. Bush is a foul-mouthed, reformed drunk obsessed with baseball, Saddam Hussein and a conflicted relationship with his dad. Or at least that's how he's portrayed in the script for Oliver Stone's upcoming feature "W."

"It leaves you with the impression that the White House is run as a fraternity house with no reverence for hierarchy, the office itself or for the implications of policy," said Robert Draper, author of "Dead Certain: The Presidency of George Bush."

Keep in mind, it's only the first draft. Though, the second draft was more than likely the only real opprotunity for Stone to make his changes.

The real George W. Bush is proabaly gonna take this movie as a compliment

that all sounds about right, although i don't know if W is a reformed drunk.

That cartoon is horrible, they should have kept "That's my Bush!" on the air instead.

LIl' Cheney: Rah-rah-rah-ratings bonanza-rah-rah-rah.

what? Lil' Bush is hilarious. I love how Cheney eats chicken heads (or is it that he drinks their blood?) lol

I have. It's not that well written. Almost a parody, really.
