Comics One More Day ..... Delayed...

what a joke not only is this a crappy story that slaps all long time fans in the face but its late. Yea way to go JMS and JOEY Q your really going above and beyond. If you can't put your best out than get us someone who will try their best.

WTF?! This sucks. The story hasn't even gotten anywhere yet, and it is being delayed by an entire freakin' month?!

Dude, i thought Joe Q finished drawing this stuff a loong time ago. Wasnt it like February where we saw the finished artwork of Peter fighting Ironman from part 1??? What going on here?

It was! This makes it even worse...

If Loki is the one who Peter makes a deal with, then OMD might have been delayed so that JMS could bring him back in Thor first.

Are we really surprised this has happened??? I was expecting this from day one. It is most likely due to Quesada's EIC commitments, which is understandable as being EIC is a busy job. He should have had the foresight to notice this and gotten someone else to draw the thing.

Expect the last chapter delayed to January as well

Hahahaha, I feel nothing but sympathy for anyone still reading this crap.

Maybe The Joes are trying to break Kevin Smith's tardiness record...

Man, even I could have finished the pencils by now.
Damn, this is taking the piss.

Not to be a smart-ass or anything, but is it a law or something that Loki HAS to be brought back in the pages of Thor?

I mean; Marvel villains tend to appear in different books all the time, practically since day one.

I read it at a different place/article that JQ had gotten behind.

Someone needs to make a parody out of this: One More Delay :p

Hey, i was just on the marvel website, and it still says that part 3 is due out November 7th and part 4 due out the 28th, maybe they pushed it back up?? False alarm?

I've know it was going to be delayed for some time now. Doesn't really bother me at all though. The first two parts of the story have just been plain lack luster at best. Pretty much nothing has happened at all. The art has been inconsistent and I'm tired of Spider-man saying "I'll do anything to save Aunt May"...We already know that! Jeez.....Joey Q hyped this story up to death and its going to suck.

Case Closed.

On a side note though...I am really looking forward to "Brand New Day". I mean how could you not...with the amount of talent they got working on those titles.

JQ has publicly apologised and said it was his fault for trying to do too many things at the same time, and going to loads of conventions.

But he said his main focus is to finish this now...

Meh. I'm not looking forward to it. At all.

Not even all the "talent" they have lined up could compel me to follow this travesty.

I feel like Spidey has been a harmless (except to my wallet may-be) enjoyable HABIT. And I thought it would be hard to give it up... but it's not been that tough. Kinda surprising... and not so much. The total disdain and disgust I feel towards JQ and his "plot" has made it easier. He's basically ruined Spider-Man for me. And that's not hyperbole. :(

is it possible . . . nah, better not get my hopes up . . . but . . . is it possible the delay is due to changes in the story?

While plausible, it's a tactic that really does not go over very well. Case in point: how DC handled the Millennium mini-series. A large number of readers quickly realized that the uber-powerful dictator of the future, Monarch, was actually the future version of Captain Atom turned evil, so DC, panicked that so many got the very obvious twist, revealed that Monarch was actually Hawk from "Hawk and Dove" despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Or to take an example from Spider-Man [BLACKOUT]Sins Past[/BLACKOUT]. By now, everyone knows that JMS originally had Peter be the father of Gwen's mutant ninja kids, but it was changed to be Norman Osborn's. And considering how Gabriel looked more like Peter than Norman, it was pretty obvious that's where JMS would have headed if editorial hadn't stepped in. In this case, however, Marvel has made far too much investment in "Brand New Day" as being Spidey's new status quo, what with all the art previews, interviews, and recently the leaked "Spider-Man bible" that came out a few days ago, it may be too late to back out. Besides, I seem to remember Joe Q saying that even if people guess the outcome of One More Day, he's still going to go ahead with it because he believes it's the right thing to do.
