I just had a though, X-Men has enough story plots of twists and turns it can put LOST to shame. But thought about something recently... What if in x-men 4, there is a second x-men team?
There has been meny genesis going on in the x-men universe, new members come an go, but something ive always found interesting is that there has always been two teams of x-men blue and gold.
What if, there is a second team... And Xavier was behind it?
Picture this, lets go back half way through x-men last stand... as Xavier knows his fate is pending, wolverine claws his way to see Xavier, who turns to him and you get the idea that Xavier told him something... but you are lead to believe that it "The school needs you!" or something along those lines.
But what if we delve further into it, what if Xavier told Wolverine that there was another x-men team.
Gold team consisted of Cyclops, Storm, Jean, and Wolverine... But what if there was a Blue team that consisted of members who have appeared previously in the movies... like Emma Frost, Beast, Nightcrawler & Psylocke...
Think about...
Emma frost became a student who was rescued by Xavier at the end of the wolverine movie, She became one of the original members, which consisted of Emma, Scott, Jean, Beast, Jason, Banshee... through the years and members come and go, Xavier decided to split his x-men into two teams Blue and Gold. Gold being lead by Scott, and then now included Jean, Newcomer Storm and possibly Banshee, the Blue team consisted of Emma, Beast, possibly Psylocke the british version...
the blue team worked undercover, with only the select knowing about them. the job of the blue team then was to infiltrate other areas that could cause problems with mutant affairs. So Emma joins the hellfire, Beast with the goverment Psylocke on a mission dies and is able to transfer her body into the Revanche (Kwannon) who then infiltrates the Omega Group also known as the Morlocks. To explain nightcrawlers absense from x3, we could simply explain that Xavier sent him to work with his Blue team. Maybe in London under the Excaliber branch.
I didnt like the explination for nightcrawlers absense from the movie which was told in the computer game... so i think it would be better fitted that he would of done that.
So we get to x-men 4
and we have Wolverine teaming up with Blue team, Beast, Emma Frost although an older and recasted Emma Frost, Nightcrawler returns and essentially you follow there actions...
