Oregon Man Sues Greenday!

I don't know why you say "Stupidity". This stuff happens.

For instance, the Led Zeppelin classic "Dazed and Confused"...do you know how they "wrote" it?

They were out at a bar, and an unknown acoustic guitarist was playing his song "I'm confused".

Jimmy Page thought it was a wicked riff, and liked the misogynistic lyrics.

So, he completely stole the riff note-for-note, and most of the lyrics, though they changed the title to "Dazed and Confused".

Artists get ripped off.
The only fishy thing is that we'd hear the accusation so long after the release of American Idiot....however it did say that he kept trying and trying to contact the record company. *shrug*

Also, Billy Joe said with his own mouth that he's a dumb person, so if the song elevated them above their previous success, you could wonder if the moron was actually capable of writing it.

I would like to prosecute Green Day for impersonating a punk band. About this guy from Oregon sueing them over copyright, he's a fool. I would never want to claim I wrote a Green Day song, has he no standards, I'd claim to have written a good song by a good band, not Green Day lol. :woot:

Yes, sue them for fraud and noise pollution if anything.

Agreed my god Green Day are ****, let's call them pop punk lite. They are about as relevant to Punk as Dollar.

No, on older songs he fakes one. It's mega ultra embarrassing.

And all along I thought the Yardbirds had Jake Holmes open for them in '67 in Greenwich Village, and decided to re-work his song "Dazed and Confused" for their own use. Then Jimmy Page re-worked the song again for Led Zeppelin

this guy has no case. A tape of him singing at home SOMEHOW got into Green Days's hands? Yeah, because whether you like them or not, I think Green Day are a little too busy to bug people's homes ;)

all depends on whether or not you believe Richard Cole over the main players.
I believe Richard Cole, 'cause he has a forthright attitude. *shrug*

I like Greenday.:wow: :cmad: people just like certain sounds. get over it.

I agree. :o

If it makes you happy to hear songs, you're cool. :o

It's pretty much that I'm so egocentric and elitest....I "know" that when I listen to the Beatles' White Album, it's.....somehow "better" than Blink-182.

I guess......I guess there's, really no such thing as "BAD MUSIC"....
....as long as there's someone out there who likes it.
