That's a tough one...

The Brothers Gibb (Bee Gees) have had hits in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, and have also written for other performers who made hits of their songs...

Micheal Jackson has had hits in the 80's and 90's...

Who's had the most hit songs that have "staying" power, (are still loved years later)?

The Bee Gees did not influence the social world as well as the music world like Dylan did. They were also critically reviled during their peak years as cheesy, inane and annoying. They're much more respected today, but still remain a guilty pleasure in most circles. Best to listen to in private or drunk off your ass at New Year's dance party, but pretty much nowhere else (though "How Deep Is Your Love" is acceptable when getting it on).

Michael is a fantastic singer and performer, but he owes the better part of his success to Quincy Jones.

And for the record, Dylan's songs are still loved by all circles. His songs are favorites on radio stations around the world. "Blowin' In The Wind" is still sung in churches. Artists of this day and age still rank him as a huge influence on their careers.

Now how many people have said, "No band or artist in history have had a greater effect on my musical career than The Bee Gees". Hmm...
