Been feeling a little nostalgic for the 90's and was wondering what are some of the most painfully 90's movies you can remember? Like Scream, She's All That, or Clueless?

Some movies that remind me a lot of the 1990s in general with things like the music, atmosphere, fashion, etc.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Scream
Scream 2
Independence Day
Point Break
Natural Born Killers

To name a few.

Batman Forever
Clueless
Demolition Man
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
The Fugitive

Space Jam
The Shadow
Stargate
Air Force One (or pretty much any other 90's Harrison Ford action movie)

Wait, how is Star Wars painfully 90's?

Jurassic Park definitely comes to mind. With the hilariously dated state-of-the-art computers. Home Alone is another one. Future viewers will wonder why the parents and kid didn't just text, call or e-mail each other. Also, You've Got Mail. The name alone. Just some movies "trapped" in the nineties.

Dazed and Confused
Bottle Rocket
SubUrbia
Metropolitan (in a very different register, obviously)
Last Days of Disco
All Over Me
School's Out

That one is funny to me. Cause despite not taking place in the 90's, it seems... 90's.

Also, all the View Askew movies.

haha! Funny coincidence, but before seeing this thread I just started watching Wild Things, because I had never seen it.

Any Jerry Bruckheimer-style action movie, like Armageddon or Con Air
Any kids sports movie, like The Mighty Ducks or Rookie of the Year; The Sandlot is an exception. It took place in the 60s and had a certain Americana feel to it.

Clueless just screams 90's to me.Which I guess is part of it's charm.I love that movie.I would say The Craft is pretty 90's too.

The Craft inspired my sister to be goth. It lasted about year. Then we got cable and discovered BET...

LOL,I love goths.I had a lot hanging around in high school, and they were crazy outspoken.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The former screams mid-1990s. The TV series (particularly the first season) was even worse: what the hell was Zack wearing? Overalls? Ugh. But God bless Amy Jo Johnson and the costume designer for making Kim wear a lot of babydoll dresses and tight gymnast lycra... only a woman like her could pull off an outfit like that.

The Culture (particularly youth):

-Scream (still love it)
-I Know What You Did Last Summer
-Cruel Intentions
-Clueless
-Beautiful Girls
-House Party
-Boyz 'N the Hood
-Do The Right Thing (late '80s, but it felt on the bubble and counts!)
-GoldenEye (post-Cold War)
-Tomorrow Never Dies (media saturation-obsession)
-Mission: Impossible (post-Cold War)
-Spice World
-Ace Ventura
-Dumb and Dumber

The Counter-Culture:

-Pulp Fiction
-Clerks
-Mallrats
-Chasing Amy
-Seven
-Fight Club
-Léon: The Professional
-Exotica

Big Sappy, heavy Sentimentality that defined Hollywood Tentpoles of the time:

-Forrest Gump ("Run Forrest, Run!")
-Titanic ("I'll Never Let Go, Jack")
-Twister
-Independence Day ("We will not go quietly into the night!")
-Jurassic Park: The Lost World (the first is more timeless)
-A Time to Kill
-Cast Away ("Wilson!," shot in the '90s, it counts)
-As Good as It Gets ("You make me want to be better!")
-Jerry McGuire ("You complete me," "You had me at hello!")
-You've Got Mail
-Sleepless in Seattle
-Home Alone
-Mrs. Doubtfire

Ah, those are movies, for better or worse, they no longer make.

Don't forget the pink Doc Martens.

Saddens me that Alicia Silverstone never really went on to bigger and better things, she's really good and funny in that movie. I was so in love with her back then, still in love with her now actually. :hrt:

Thanks guys, now I'm craving some 90's goodness. :)

She was the "it" girl in the 90s for at least 3 years, after Batman & Robin is went downhill from there.

I find it interesting that she's one of the least successful Clueless alumni.

Masterminds (all youth were hackers in training)
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Ninja Turtles
Batman & Robin
Neverending Story 3 (pop music, porcupine hair)
Idle Hands
First Kid
The Pagemaster

LOTS of children movies have aged due to technology which differs us, although not by many years, from the youth of today. I'm only 23.

I also think it was all dark lights, neon, spikes, tye-dye, and being fascinated by cardboard (pogs) while roller blading. More "innocent" times.
