Parents, Bars at odds in New York

In regards to smoking, people need to keep in mind the laws have never been about the health of the patrons, though you'd think so by how much most of them speak out for it. It's always been about providing a healthy working environment. Much like needing fire sprinklers, fire exits, hard hats, etc.

For those that don't believe second hand smoke can cause harm, I suppose you'd have no problems having kids/babies in a smoke filled nursery or day care all day?

Smoke filled? No, but I'm not going to complain if someone is smoking around my kids.

Back on topic about the kids, I have a female family member that takes her baby with her wherever she goes...I mean to the movies, to clubs, whatever. She says she "doesn't trust anyone else with her child." I don't know if this mindset is prevalent amongst a lot of chicks or what, but hey.

Considering she takes the kid to places like this I wouldn't trust her with the kid.
