Let me just get this out of the way: I don't like Michael Bay films at all. However, in interviews it's pretty obvious he's doing what he wants to do. He didn't sell out or anything. He's doing what he wants to do, making films he wants to make and he's making tons of money for if. More power to him.

That said, I do not like his films at all.

Another turd from Ol' W.S. Anderson?

I love Mortal Kombat, loved it as a kid, love it now as an adult, in my opinion it's the only good movie he made.

It was't that horrendous. I got a free ticket for it also and it's a guilty pleasure. By far his best film since first Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil 1 if you are generous. If it wasn't that sloppy in terms of editing and directing i wouldn't rank it lower than Volcano or the american Godzilla.

Saw it two weeks ago now at a free screener. I dont know where to begin with thing. The cast is all wrong in my book, the main actors are all horrible and kiefer sutherland may be the worst case of miscast i can remember in quite some time. He looks like jack bauer in a roman suit with a british accent. The guy from game of thrones is passable but the main girl looks 15 and they tried to sex her up and it felt uncomfortable.

Anderson ripped off gladiator and titanic to the point that a law suit for copyright would be useless. The first hour and a half is litterally the same as gladiator including the revenge and arena battles.

The only saving grace in this dogpile is the last act with the volcano blowing up and destroying the city itself. The hack director of this beauty was so nice he included a deep impact type wave in the finale that from what i saw did more damage then the volcano.

Poor Emily Browning. She should just stay away from crappy popcorn flicks like this and Sucker Punch and stick to weird indie films like Sleeping Beauty.

Hes passable i guess, ive never seen game of thrones so i dont know how he is on there. Hes pretty much the stereotypical action guy, say as few words as possible and look tough with a sword. Maybe its paul andersons directing but overall i wasnt impressed.

It felt like a PG-13 Disney animated movie. Like Disney's Pompeii, the template of every single Disney animated fairy tale film was laid out. I half expected Sutherland to have a villain song.

Don't judge her by that. The script in that movie was horrendous. She's been better in other films like Sleeping Beauty and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
