PC Upgrading

Would 800 bucks be enough to upgrade a PC decently ?

With that kinda of cash, I'm sure be better just buy a new one, ATM unless it's a half year old or something. The question is do you wanna build, or a buy a prefab?

yea what Alistair said, i am also going to have $800-$900 to spend on a computer and Dell is having a good deal
the one im eying on is the one with the new Intel i7 Processor, 640 GB HDD, 4 GB Ram, and a decent graphics card for around $800

Well Id simply want to get a new video card that supports TV Out or w/e so I can connect the PC to the TV & some memory updates. But heck if you really can find a decent deal for 800 to 900 I might as well look into an entirely new PC & just stick this one in another room. Or just get a whole new HD & use this monitor I have now & simply get another one. Though I do not want Vista on the machine but I know how to uninstall & then install XP so thats not really a problem. Would like PC to TV though. Unless there is something portable I can buy

Yea for 800$ you could build yourself a decent mid end pc that can run the latest games.

Yeah, your better off building, but if your not comfortable with that I would just buy a descent prefab. There is some good deals out there if ya look around, and be patient. Just look at the specs that you want, or need or something thath as a little bit of longiveity.

Now. For the OS. Your going to be hard pressed for the latest hardware to actually have full driver support for XP, so your most likey going to have Vista (Which isn't bad as people claim, BTW) or you can wait until June get Vista, and then free upgrade to Windows 7 (Which I'm Enjoying greatly for Windows OS).

If you want a notebook? I suggest once again looking around, Dell Outlet does have some good deals. I got mine last year for 600, and all was wrong with it was a scratch. C'mon, a scratch most likey going to get moving around away. Might as well save from someone else arrogance, I say.

it looks good, but if they replaced the Quad-Core processor with the new Intel i7 Processor and of course the Vista OS to the new one coming out, it would be great to buy
