I just began to listen to Pearl Jam a few days ago. Damn what a good band. What are some of your favorite Pearl Jam songs?

"Given to Fly" is a favorite, as are "Once" and "Nothingman".

the first two albums they put out are gold, also Eddie Vedder's solo work on Into The Wild is epic too.

My personal favorite band....direct descedants of The Who. This is a band who was the biggest Rock group on the planet in 94' and....turned their backs on making the "right" business decisions, essentially give a giant middle finger to Sony and the media. You have to applaud anyone with the courage to do something like that. They do things on their own terms and have a ridiculously huge following. It's too bad people dislike them because Kurt Cobain liked to badmouth them in the press. They are missing out on the most influential band of the last 20 years, bar none.

As far as favorite songs.....its really hard to tell. I won't bother you with the radio staples.

Ten is my favorite album...an awesome listen from start to finish,Once,Alive,Even Flow,Black,Jeremy,Porch,Garden...

Black is probably my favorite song...one of the rare cases where the artist leaves his soul in the song and every time i listen to it it just kills me...check out the unplugged version of it,heart-wrenching.

Ten is a very classic album. I remember when that CD first came out and my friend got it for his birthday. We were up there in his room jamming out to that CD for weeks upon weeks.

I believe the album after word was very good too but they have had hit or miss albums after that. Some good songs here and there but as a whole the band is very talented and they definitely have done things on their own terms.

I just heard 'The Fixer' on Fuse last night and wow...it's amazing. I'll be picking up Backspacer for sure tomorrow. Those guys are genious!
