I actually like the quote "The recent smash success of The Hunger Games (check out The Hunger Games logo) has only served to solidify what Harry Potter proved: that children's book series serve as excellent source material for films."
As even Narnia and Percy Jackson have enjoyed somewhat "success" [enough to justifiy sequel(s)], I see potential in a lot of other books. Maybe we will get to see adaptions of work by Eoin Colfer, Michelle Paver, Philip Reeve etc. I know it's off-topic, but still worth mentioning.
