Worried over what? Lmaol.
Dude, there is no point in this. All that matter is how well a script is brought to the screen.
Someone brought up Eragon? Well, there were fans of the book that said that the film butchered it. And sorry to tell you, the film itself wasn't that great- and do you want to know the obvious key reason behind that? They didn't translate the script (which was just okay) to screen that good. It's not that the film was PG, lol.
Time length matters, because there is a chance that they took out important character evolving scenes that are needed to tell the story the way it has to be told. This fits into adapting the page to screen. If scenes that are meant to be in the film are cut, then- that's bad.
Sending a film into the MPAA does not reflect the movie, all it does is say whether a film is PG or PG-13. Which, these days, there isn't really a difference between at all.
The only scene that we may lose is Doom killing that one security guard, that's it. But, we wouldn't even lose that entirely- it would be set up more Hitchcockian, editing around that- "what you don't see is sometimes more disturbing than what you see." Have the guard and Doom in the room, show start of action- cut out- have FF arrive and see the effects of what Doom just did, easy as that and story wise you don't lose anything.
Oh good. Than I have an excuse.Granted, I was itching for the PG-13 label, but if you're a grown ass man getting angry over a PG rating...I don't know what to tell you. Teenagers and young'uns I can understand as they want everything hip and edgy and gritty.

Just wait and see.
We're in for one hell of a children's movie.
Thats because some people think PG is a turnoff because there's not many curse words in it or nude scenes or something. Fantastic Four doesn't need to be PG-13. It never needed to be. Hell Raiders of the Lost Ark was PG.
I thought that was Gremlins that was responsible for that rating. For me its a bother because in my mind it suggests that the movie is going to be 'toned down' in some capacity.
I'm not saying it will happen, but that's what's in my mind.
And wasn't the only reason RotLA was PG was because PG-13 wasn't invented yet? And isn't the Indiana Jones series responsible for the creation of PG-13?

^ Toned down from what? It's a PG franchise. It's a lighthearted franchise that's meant to be lighter than the PG-13 X-Men franchise. It doesn't need to be scary, vulgar, or excessively violent. You can have awesome action sequene and killer F/X without rape, graphic muder, vulgarity, and nudity.

Have you ever seen that documentary on the MMPA titled, "This film is not yet rated"? Its a fascinating investigation. I watched it during my course on media effects.
The MPAA is meticulous and analyze every little thing...explosions, a punch, blood, a line delivery...EVERYTHING.
The MPAA is incredibly anal about what's allowed on film...they're also very top secret about who reviews movies for the MPAA.
Seriously check out the documentary...its mind-boggling how the MPAA operates.
I'm not saying I want gore and stuff...i'm just saying I don't want the MPAA suggesting that they cut a single extra punch from a fight scene for the sake of a PG rating--believe me, check out the doc...they do s*** like this.
i seen a t.v spot today on t.v and after the guy said the name of the film, he announced that it was rated PG. i Think it is official.
im glad in a way that it is PG, because when i think FF i don't think blood and gore, or ass kicking as i would with Batman.
Also i don't have to feel a complete nerd in the cinema as i can take my four year old, and look as though im being a good parent taking their kid out to see one of their favourite comic movies, when really its for my benefit lol
