July 6, 2018- Black Panther

May 3, 2019- The Avengers 3 Episode 2

yay

1. How can Thor 3 be the end if Chris Hemsworth is contracted for Avengers 3?

2. The recent comments about Iron Man 4 are with regards to Downey returning AFTER his contract expires and he is contracted for Avengers 3 as well.

3. With Kevin Feige hyping Captain Marvel and Inhumans, I can't see at least one of these not getting released during Phase 3. The demand for a female lead is way too high now and while one of them may not appear during Phase 3, the other is absolutely certain to appear. For all the flack that Marvel has gotten for a lack of diversity, I really, really don't see Marvel pushing Crystal, Medusa and Carol to the side to reboot Ghost Rider who they've only mentioned not working on and having no plans for.

this is what I expect:

July 17, 2015- Ant-Man
May 6, 2016- Captain America 3
July 8, 2016- Dr Strange
May 5, 2017- Thor 3
July 28, 2017- GOTG2
November, 2017- Captain Marvel
May 4, 2018- Avengers 3
July 6, 2018- Black Panther
November 2, 2018- Ant Man 2
May 3, 2019- Iron Man 4

This is another which I don't see happening either since Marvel just announced the May 2018 date.

I also don't see Ant-Man 2 being greenlit since it's an untested property. Inhumans is more likely to see the light of day than Ant-Man simply due to a combination of studio planning, Hank Pym being a senior citizen, wasp being dead and there simply not being many Ant-Man villains. I mean, Egghead is the only other villain who's an obvious choice since MODOK fights Captain America, Iron Man and Captain Marvel and would probably be a general Avengers villain, Crossfire is also an enemy of Hawkeye and if there's ever a Hawkeye TV show, that's where Crossfire will appear and Whirlwind also fights Iron Man. I mean, when Yellowjacket (who's Hank Pym himself in the comics) is the main bad guy, I really don't see a lot of sequel potential. Hank mostly sits in the background until the Avengers need him. He's a team player and much like how I can see Black Knight getting a solo film, I also see it being a one and done thing.

Hurts a bit that Captain Marvel gets pushed to Phase 4 in my hypothetical schedule, but it was between Black Panther and Cap'n Marvel, and I think they're a bit further along with respect to developing the former. A part of me wishes that A3 would be shifted to the May 2019 date, so they can introduce Danvers before Thanos comes a-gauntletin', but that seems unlikely to me after they announced the May 2018 date.

However, I don't think there's a snowballs chance that T'Challa and Danvers are excluded from the currently announced slate. The fans' desire for both those characters to get solo movies has simply grown too immense for Marvel to ignore. No, I'm not saying that they'll be "goaded" by the fans into making those movies, but it simply makes too much sense to ignore at this point.

Well my initial thought was Avengers 3 for 2019, but a 4 year break seems big, plus it's tough figuring out what 2 other films they'd squeeze in before A3.

And I went with Ant Man 2 just because it seemed to fit in with the scheme they have going of one sequel and one new movie per year, plus any other suggestions I've seen have two movies from one franchise in phase 3, which I don't think will happen.

Also "Studio planning", Hank Pym being old, and "Wasp being dead" don't mean jack s**t to Marvel. If the movie is received well and makes money, I guarantee you it gets a sequel.

Oh and I agree about his rogues gallery, it's weak as hell... but what is this Hawkeye TV show you're assuming is in the works?? It'll never happen with Renner unless it's like an 8 episode Netflix/HBO type mini

i hope Hawkeye will die in Avengers 2. he is so boring character there are lot better in MCU

Hawkeye is slated to get a much bigger role in Avengers 2, which to me is a good thing because I think Jeremy Renner could really bring him to life, but I could also see Hawkeye being killed off to try and shake the whole Marvel is afraid to kill off main characters thing.

Jul 2015: Ant-Man
May 2016: Captain America 3
Jul 2016: Dr. Strange
May 2017: Thor 3
Jul 2017: Guardian's of the Galaxy 2
Nov 2017: Black Panther
May 2018: Captain Marvel
Jul 2018: Hulk 2
Nov 2018: Inhumans
May 2019: Avengers 3

This is more of a wish list, but I'd be really happy if this came true. (Although I have a sinking feeling that Avengers 3 will come out in 2018)

Looks like Captain America 3 is staying where it belongs.

I really hope Hawkeye doesn't get killed off otherwise I'll never get my Hawkeye/Hulk team up film.

Hawkeye could potentially have a major role in Thunderbolts like he did in the comics.

I personally hope they don't kill him off either.

That's a good idea! Plus it would give the audience someone they already know and if rumors are true more character development in the sequel.

Eventually they are going to have to kill off somebody for real, especially in a movie like Age of Ultron, if they want audiences to continue buying that these movies actually have stakes.

Personally, I hope they don't kill Hawkeye, just because I don't give a s**t about Renner's Hawkeye, and if they actually try to mine pathos out of killing HAWKEYE, then it will be completely obvious that this was a studio-mandated, board room decision made based on "who can we afford to kill that we don't want to try to keep milking money out of later".

I would like to see them have the stones to kill Tony, Steve, or Thor, but I suspect that will never happen.

Presuming facts not in evidence. Specifically, the idea that the only stakes ever are "death of a main character."

Black Widow is who i expect to die in Avengers age of ultron-if anyone dies that is

Jul 2015: Ant-Man
May 2016: Captain America 3
Jul 2016: Dr. Strange
May 2017: Thor 3
Jul 2017: Guardian's of the Galaxy 2
Nov 2017: Black Panther
May 2018: Captain Marvel
Jul 2018: Hulk 2
Nov 2018: Inhumans
May 2019: Avengers 3

This is exactly what I want in Phase 3.

No way does Romanoff get killed off in Age of Ultron.

Marvel killing off Black Widow would mean that the number of females on the Avengers will be back to one. Maria Hill does not count. Adding SW to BW will help the team diversify a little bit.

Of the core six, Barton is the most likely to bite it. Which sucks because his award winning character defining solo series is pretty ripe for a movie or netflix series, imo.

The biggest question is would audiences accept the "revolving door of death" in the MCU (especially after Dr. Strange) or would that be a shark-jumping moment?

They won't be releasing a new property in May 2018, it's the prime slot of the three and will go to something established...

My money's on either THE INCREDIBLE HULK 2 or, having introduced BLACK PANTHER in November 2017, an AVENGERS 3 focusing on newer members Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Ant-Man (and maybe Wasp), Doctor Strange, and Black Panther...
... In which case I would then expect the May 2019 movie to be something like "Marvel's "INFINITY WAR"

Either way I expect that INHUMANS and CAPTAIN MARVEL will occupy the July and November 2018 slots

:)

I'm hoping for...

ANT-MAN: July 17, 2015
CAPTAIN AMERICA 3: May 6, 2016 - Captain America/Captain Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier/Captain America, Sharon Carter, Falcon, Black Widow, Maria Hill, Nick Fury and possibly Hawkeye, War Machine/Iron Patriot
Strucker or Zemo could replace Norman Osborne as the head of both HAMMER and the Thunderbolts with SHIELD now not fully operational. Crossbones seems likely to return, so we could see Sin and even the return of the Red Skull
THOR 3: May 5, 2016 - a mash up of "Loki" "Ragnarok" and maybe even "Seige" ends with Thor on the throne of Asgard
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2: July 28, 2017 - hopefully we'll meet Adam Warlock and Moondragon
BLACK PANTHER: November 3, 2017
AVENGERS 3: May 4, 2018 - Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Ant-Man and maybe Wasp
CAPTAIN MARVEL: July 6, 2018
INHUMANS: November 2, 2018
MARVEL'S "INFINITY WAR": May 3, 2019 - Avengers, "New" Avengers, Captain Marvel, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Inhumans and maybe even cameos from AgentsOfSHIELD, Daredevil, "Defenders" and others?

By Captain Marvel are people meaning Mar-Vell or Carol Danvers? I know she is Captain Marvel now but surely they would call the movie Ms. Marvel.

I always kind of assumed we might get introduced to Mar-Vell in a GOTG sequel, his powers being passed to Carol would make for an awesome after credits scene to tease an upcoming Ms. Marvel movie.
