You mean backgrounds. And yes, you just Photoshop the background out.

I would actualy say that the 2nd image was the orginal of the 2.....

But yeah photoshop is the tool to use

You could use The Gimp. Which is similiar to photoshop but is free.

And like UTR said. The 2nd image was the original.

How do I do it in Photoshop?

Just make a new document and color it like the color of the post. Then take the figure in the picture and put it on a blank document. That's how I would do it.
