Pitch Perfect 2

The problem with that, vs. Step Up or Bring It On, is that those were....well the original Step Up was a bit more dramatic, BIO was a teen film. Pitch Perfect is much more rooted in comedy, and I don't think we'd see them go with that direction. Cast chemistry and the comedy is what got e back for a sequel, so if they screw it by going that route, I won't bother with any further films.

What I meant was that they don't put as much energy into the story and put more work into the Dancing/Singing/Cheerleading as the Sequels move forward. The first Step Up movie and Bring It On were vastly different to their sequels.

Just saw this and thought it was great! So many hilarious parts and it was awesome to see everyone return, including John Higgins & Liz Banks' characters as the commentators who had so many sidesplitting lines between the two of them. Really enjoyed Hailee Steinfeld in it too who brought a ton of charisma to her role. I can see this movie becoming her official breakout, since her previous movies have been sort of niche-y. She was a really great combo of cute & spunky and was (IMO) one of the standouts in the movie. I genuinely think she could really make it in Hollywood, there's just something about her.

There were tons of bit parts & cameos, most of which were funny except for an obviously spliced-in-from-previous-footage one featuring the Obamas that I found groan-inducing. Definite props to Katey Sagal as Hailee Steinfeld's mom in a bit part, never knew she could sing.

Didn't bother staying for the credits but I just found out from reading online that there's another cameo during the credits that I wish I'd caught. Might catch this again before it leaves theaters. ;)

Well she's kinda attractive lol. She's like a younger Kristin Kreuk. It seems I have a type haha.

I thought the first movie was great, and this is exactly what I expected out of the sequel. I do think the songs and arrangements were a bit weak this time around though, especially the closer.

Still a fun flick with some genuine LOL moments.

Not sure if I liked this or the first one better, but it was a fun, enjoyable film regardless. Lots of laughs from me.

Saw it with my wife last night. There's some funny bits and the performances are all good, but I didn't like it as well as the first. This is what I call the "nostalgia sequel" in that, instead of developing a solid script they rely on the popularity of the first film to bring folks in and it definitely worked, although I think this will be incredibly front loaded.

My favorite character was the record producer and his banter with the other intern. I would have liked to see him more in the film.

If you're invested in the series, I'd recommend it, otherwise I'd say wait for Netflix.

I saw a bunch of dudes with leather jackets and I thought to myself '' Alright! My Mad Max peeps have arrived'' Nope. They went to see this.

Alexis Knapp is fine tho. Eh.

That Birgitte Hjort Sørensen is really talented and to quote Beca, she's "physically flawless".

I see on IMDB she will appear in Game of Thrones on May 31 so I'm looking forward to that.

Birgittes banter between her and Anna were classic

"You're sweat smells like cinnamon...........dammit!"

:funny:

After anticipating it since it was first announced I honestly did not like this film. The script is wonky, many of the jokes fall flat, and the songs/arrangements are not up to par with the first film's.

Yaaaaaaas!

They should have a crossover with the new sister act

Finally saw this today. It's about as good as the first one. Some funny parts. The performance scenes are always great. Some jokes didn't have any resolution or punchline and didn't land at all.

Universal has scheduled Pitch Perfect 3 for a release date on July 21, 2017.

I actually saw this online a couple of days ago, this one was alright. So what will this one be about since a majority of the Bellas [BLACKOUT]graduated[/BLACKOUT]?

Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick are back for PP3, so I assume Kay Cannon has a plan for bringing their characters in after they graduated.

I love the Pitch Perfect films. Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and Rebel Wilson are the best parts of the films imo.

They really are. All three need comic book roles, stat!

My favorite PP series character is Chloe Beale, played by Brittany Snow.

My fave is lily because although everyone thinks she's really sweet and quiet she's actually kind of nuts.

Just like me :P

Makes sense. She's so in demand these days
