Pixar's Brave - In Theaters Summer 2012

I feel like if this had still been called The Bear and the Bow it would have focused the marketing better cause they'd actually focus on the curse instead of tacking it on at the end.

The Brave tagline seems to keep at the family aspect being kooky and stuff instead of the adventure she needs to be strong for.

i like short titles. its easier for me to talk to my friends about the Brave movie .

Yeah, it's so hard to say a title that has 5 words. People won't know what you're talking about. :o

Doesn't take risks? They probably mean it isn't 'Toy Story' Cause everything Pixar does is compared to Toy Story.

As for Brave... I don't even know what the movie is about through the trailers. I'm still going to give it a try based on Pixar's track record but the marketing is horrid for this one.

Ugh...my gf wants to see this movie. Looks like she's going alone, I'm done with kid movies, even if they're made so adults can enjoy them. I just found out they're making a sequel to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was amazing. Shockingly amazing.

Don't take risks as in this is a story about a princess and they might not have put their Pixar stamp on it as other movies. That would be my guess considering their previous stuff.

There was a screening last week for (I think) Disney Visa cardholders. The two reviews I saw said they liked the movie, but thought it was a bit dark for kids.

But they did get the trailer for Monsters University, so that's something.

It seems like Brave will be well liked. But I don't know where it'll stand with the other Pixar films.

If all else, all of Pixar's films after Monsters Uni sounds super ambitious.

I think it looks great. I keep thinking that it's not being marketed well, but the last few times I've been to the Disney Store, kids have been swarming the Brave toys, so I guess they're into it.

The marketing has been very lackluster to be honest. The trailers do their job, but they're all cut awkwardly.

I'm excited for this movie......and I'm a 29 year old guy.........

does that make me weird???......lol

No. I'm turning 25 soon, and I'm excited to see Brave as well.

Nothing wrong with that. I can't see it being darker than The Incredibles, though.

I'm not the only one!! :woot:

oh, and is this going to be a musical ( with singing and talking animals )?

from what I've seen, it doesn't appear to be.......

Don't compare Pixars movies with that junk. Animated stuff in general gets a bad rap for being only for kids, or made so "parents won't get bored"

Pixar, to me, isn't about making kids movies. Theyre about making good movies, period.

It's all the same to me, I prefer live action films to cartoons any day of the week.

Well, I am a professional animator, so admittedly, my point of view may be a little biased, lol.

A good story is a good story no matter what medium it's told in. Animation is just another tool to tell great stories.

I don't think it's a musical.
