Pizza

When I order a pizza nowadays, it's usually a California Veggie Pizza on a thin crust. Something like this:

YO homie with the hat on CLOCKED that Ellio's pizza. It tastes like childhood but you'd die after eating too much of it LOL.

I think I only had Ellio's a few times back in elementary school when they would do pizza days.

Damn, your school was mean! We would have pizza from this local spot and then our teachers always cut them joints up in eighths LOL.

LMAO. Frozen pizza is a guilty pleasure of mine, specifically DiGiorno. It should be no one's choice for pizza but if you come home from a long day of work and you don't want to put much effort in but you also don't want to deal with takeout, it's a suitable choice.

You know what I LOVED when I was a kid though that I think is still around? Boboli make your own pizzas. That was actually legit with fresh ingredients (mostly because the crust is pre-made). Basically the adult version of Lunchables pizza.

I think just one teacher did it... I have no idea why lol

I had other teachers bring in local shop pizzas, but they would also cut them into rectangles.

Apparently this place is in California but I wanna try it just because of this commercial.

Dude really, you and I would get along famously offline. I didn't wanna admit it in front of Kane because he would disown me, but DiGiorno is alright with me.

And making your own Boboli pizza is a rite of passage!

LOL those were the days Kane!

DiGiorno is fine but it's really gummy and too doughy.

Of the frozen pizza brands, I f**ks with the Red Baron... particularly with their cheese trio.

And then it would probably be Tombstone but that is way on the cheesy side.

Tombstone's commercials with that British character actor guy that was on every show in the 90s >>>

Here's an even more nuanced and controversial discussion, what's the best gas station pizza?

I know it's probably Wawa for you guys but since I'm still in Texas, for me it's QuikTrip.

With the exception of maybe Whole Foods brand, I hate all frozen pizzas.

But gas station pizza on the other hand, I am a fan. My favorite is Racetrac:

They have a legit Buffalo Chicken pizza.

There is also a local chain of gas stations in my town called Thorntons, which has great pizza. In fact, all of their food is really good. I actually used to take my wife there for dinner when we were in college and short on funds. They have great gourmet hot dogs and a serious toppings bar.

I was today years old when I found out there was something known as gas station pizza.

You guys actually eat the food at gas stations? Why?

Is that a thing?

I have so many questions.

I am a gas station food connoisseur.

You have to understand, in the south gas stations are a viable restaurant option.

Every third gas station has Broaster’s Chicken, which is legit better than just about every fast food chicken except for Bojangles.

Now it all makes sense to me. On one of my trips to Louisiana, I was at a gas station and I wondered why they had this setup of fried chicken and a bunch of other sides that looked perfectly made. I was going to buy some, but then my foolish, Yankee mind said 'Shinobi, why the hell are you ordering food from a damn gas station?'

Probably missed out on the best fried chicken in the world.

Had no clue gas station food culture was legit.

You still crazy for eating Buffalo chicken pizza though lol.

I treat pizza like I treat a sandwich. I usually just go to the nearest pizzeria, deli or sometimes both for either. There's easily one in each municipality in my state.

I've told the story of how excited my sister who lives in Florida, wanted me to try this pizza place down there. The guy was from NY. My wife and I took a bite and gave each other a look. We didn't have to say anything. There can be exceptions but I typically don't eat either outside of the Tri State area.
