i wasnt sure which section to post this in so please move if its all wrong. just for fun im having a go at writing a fan script for a Begins sequel and have come across a slight block and am hoping that ther is someone out there who can help me. Jim Gordons kid in the movie, did we ever find out out whether it was a son or daughter? Also, and please dont burn me for not knowing this, what is his wife's name? i was told it was Barbara but that just confused the hell out of me!!!!

OK first, wrong section. This belongs in the Batman Begins Forum. In Begins we know nothing of his child, boy girl or otherwise. But I'd be a safe bet to say it would be Barabara Gordon, his niece or adopted daughter in the comics ,who becomes Batgirl and the Orical. In Begins we know nothing of his wife either, but in the comics his wife's name is Barbara.

In Batman Year One, James Gordon had a wife named Barbara and a son named James Jr. The woman we see in Begins is credited as Barbara Gordon, so it's failry safe to assume the baby is his son, James Jr. Babs Gordon (Batgirl) isn't adopted until she's a tad bit older.

It's easy to be confused with this. James Gordon and Barbara Gordon had a son - James. Barbara Gordon and James Gordon divorce. James later marries Sarah Essen. James adopts his neice also named Barbara.

Indeed? I didn't know that - most of my Batman info comes from the cartoon and I always thought she was the commissioner's daughter.

We know his wife's name is Barbara in Begins, it's in the credits. And they actually refer to the baby as a boy, plus Jr. was the only one who was an infant when he lived with Gordon. His niece Barbara was older when Jim adopted her.

Yeah, everyone else said it, but I wanted to throw Lex in there.

technically, she still is. If i'm not mistake after some time it was revealed that he had an affair with his brother's wife before Babs was born, and is actually her biological father. Yeah, Jim Gordon's a ****e, what about it?
