I don't know why they haven't let Thor say that, I guess because whomever, writers or producers were strict on this because they thought it would be cheesy. I disagree and think Thor's famous catchphrase can be used properly and be awesome.

We never got the "Avengers Assemble" line, or some other lines I can't think of, but I think Thor's "For Asgard" line could be awesome.

When I heard that the Hulk would say "Hulk Smash" in The Incredible Hulk movie, I thought it would be cheesy. I know fans demanded that Hulk say this, atill thought to myself, what's the use of that though? Turns out, I was wrong. I thought Hulk would sound monsterous and slow but the way Lou Ferrigno delivered the line was effing awesome. Perfect voice. Hulk said it with passion, he was like, "HULK....SMASH!" It was anger and passion. It was beautiful and epic.

I think the same can be just as epic for Thor if he has a moment in a climax where he makes his ultimate swing with his hammar and throws it fast, yelling "FOR ASGARD!"

I think there can be plenty of reasons why it can make sense that Thor would say that.

I think they should keep the practice of cutting the lines off to tease the fans.

Cap: "Avengers, ass-" [cut to black]

Thor: "For As-" [cut to black]

Chinese audiences didn't really understand the significance of the ending to Avengers 2. "Avengers...ass--" Cut to black.

Boy did I anticipate it would fade to black before Cap finished the line.

Maybe it was because he was actually about to say "Avengers....*******s" :D

But for this seriously, just say the full line. No more half-assed interuptions and teases.

They do so good with these Marvel movies. Hulk didn't say Hulk Smash in Avengers 1, but at least Cap said it which was just as awesome.

We may hear it yet. Fandral said it in The Dark World. I could see Thor shouting it at a climactic moment while Asgard (and Odin? Loki?) lay slain before Surtur and/or when he fully embraces his birthright and dons the helmet once again.

But it's not a deal breaker for me. Thor also never says "Have at thee" or "I say thee nay" because the MCU does not use the Shakespearean dialect.

Volstagg also shouted it when they were fighting the Destroyer in the first movie. As for Thor saying it in the movie, it's a possibility, but these things always must be dealt with carefully to ensure they don't seem too campy.
