So I have a wireless black controller that came with my Xbox elite almost 2 years ago.

Recently when I plug in the controller to charge, it charges for a second (the light is red) and then all of the sudden the light turns green and it stops charging

Can anybody help?

If you have had it for about 2 years, its probably the battery. It may be time for a new one.

I find that strange though. I just got my xbox 360 controller with the twisting dpad. Been using the plug and play that came with it, and its been working fine up until Saturday. For some reason the battery wasn't charged, so I plugged it in and played like that for a few hours. Then decided to unplug the controller when I felt it was fully charged, and the controller turned off.

Now it only seems to work when its plugged in. WTF?!?

Maybe the batteries are just crap. I've been meaning to pick up a new battery, but wired isn't a big deal so I just go with it
