The Dark Knight Police Parade?

I was there this morning too...and noticed the question on the form they gave out asking if you could "march as policemen in a parade". so i guess besides victims and perps, they're maybe also casting to put together something like a policemen's funeral march or something? Gotham City doesnt really seem like the kind of town that would have a parade otherwise

Two things:

1. We know from the sides that an unspecified baddie (believed to be the Joker) kills quite a few policeman and taunts another about it.

2. We also know the National Guard gets brought in because things have broken down so much. Killing half the GPD off at an event would plausibly explain that, methinks.

Thoughts?

I've been pretty much expecting Loeb to get bumped off.

Joker offing a load of cops sounds like something he'd do. Any ideas where it would fit in the larger scheme of things?

His goal is to create total chaos - destroying the police force is an extremely good kickstart to achieving that goal. Certainly fits Heath's descriptions of the Joker being a 'total anarchist.'

Loeb is with Gordon at one of Joker's crime scene and Joker is in disguise as a regular person. But, as Joker walks near Loeb he pricks Loeb. A few minutes at the crime Loeb starts laughing hysterically and as Gordon turns Loeb's body over. Loeb has the Joker's grin on his face/

I really think this is over the top.....I know I sound like an ass..but I do think it's to over the top for Nolans' Joker...I could be wrong but we might be over analyzing this. Then again it's the Joker. Im confused about this thread.
