Possible malware imbedded here?

The colors are my doing. I'm testing to see if the ad problems we're having are only from the light blue theme, and as such, I've disabled it for the time being. If the red/white/blue is too bright for you, please feel free to try the Dynamite Skin, which is a black/orange theme. I'm going to have the blue theme disabled for at least a day or so, to see if that alleviates the problems with the bad ads.

It seems to have fixed the problem on my end, I'm not getting any pop ups at all. Cheers man

actually, this skin seems to work better overall for me. I had all kinds of problems with the blue skin, sometimes the forums just wouldn't load at all.

As much as I like the blue skin,

working forum>>>>blue skin

I was having lots of problems and slowdowns on this site very recently; don't have any of those with this new layout. Hope it stays like this!

Things had been fine with this new layout, but just now as I was on the Hype I got a blue screen and had to restart my computer. Here's what the Microsoft Error Report said when I was done reporting it:

You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused Windows to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.

The only thing I've installed lately is ClamWin Free Antivirus. I'd been running a virus scan with it for ages, but it didn't get a chance to finish before my system got screwed up :cmad:

So THIS is where I got the god damn malware from? You f**ks. I'm going to have to reformat because of this. Or not. I'm getting a new computer in 2 weeks or so, so hopefully I'll be able to scrape by with my infected machine until then. I hate all of you :cmad:

Jesus I wondered where the hell that trojan/adware came from .. guess I got it here.. got it on Friday and I got it on Sunday .... cleared it twice and so far, so good (fingers crossed)

Is anyone else having problems with secured websites? I can't use internet banking any more, and online retail stores wont open up. Looks like this trojan did more damage then I thought, going to have to dump the hard drive and reinstall windows :csad:

So if it is the skin why did it only start now? And will we get a fixed blue skin back anytime soon?

Feels so good to be able to come back to the Hype without getting unpleasant visits from akademikerzeitung.ch:up:

This Travian browser game is popping up every two seconds. It's getting really annoying.

I had to remove Acrobat Reader, because as soon as the boards went back to blue, the attacks began again.

We were afraid of that. Thanks.

Also, Last Son, great avatar.

I wouldn't recommend that just yet. Seemed to me three out of the 11 instances malwarebytes found were found in the restore.Id suggest doing what you can to eliminate the virus as is.If its embedded in registry keys reinstall isn't gonna help you.

Everytime I visit here, my Norton keeps saying it blocked a possible hijack. I think I'm gonna take a break from here for awhile.

Everyone infected should try a product like Spybot Search & Destroy. Just be sure not to immunize your system until after it's cleaned.

I had to use a combination of Spybot and Super Antispyware to get it all off my system. Spybot alone couldn't get everything.

Yep just got that Acrobat pop-up from akademikerzeitung.ch again once it went back to the default skin. *goes and manually puts it on classic*

I know, hence the updated announcement. Please bear with us--we're getting closer to figuring out what's what.
