Dunno if this works exactly but i believe that Ted could still be the one to blow up New York.....

My reasoning for this is that HRG revealed that the companies tracking station for the Heroes is situated in NYC. Now with Ted, Matt and HRG headed to NYC we'll have two people capable (If Sylar gets to Ted he'd kill him and take his power thus keeping the number at two) of creating the explosion.

What if , in order to take out the tracking station once and for all Ted is forced to create an explosion big enough to cause all the damage Hiro sees in the future.

Thats all i have on this theory ATM.....

Well, Sylar seems to be alive in the future, since he's in the previews for the next episode meeting a brunette Claire. And Peter's alive in the future as well. I'm guessing it's Ted that goes nuclear then. We'll probably know Monday.

according to the online comic the future sylar stole claires ability to heal and used it after he exploded.

but also according to the comic, that is the exact thing that FutureHiro is trying to stop. hence, "save the cheerleader, save the world." so Sylar could still be the bomb, but he won't have Claire's ability to regenerate/heal...at least not that we know of.

So, are the future in the latest comic and the future in next week's preview different futures? Because in comic-future-Hiro's timeline, Sylar exploded, but survived by having killed Claire. In the preview, Claire is shown to be alive after the explosion (Nate is president). But then, comic-future-Hiro's timeline is parallel to five years from now in the show because the comic ends where the show left with past-Hiro and Ando in the future, the Hiros facing off. Does that mean, future-Hiro did manage to change his present time (he saved Claire, but someone explodes anyway), just not the way he intended? Is it significant that past-Hiro arrived at future-Hiro's loft (Issac's loft) just after future-Hiro made contact with past-Peter, or was that just a coincidence? Like, it's future-Hiro's time-altering choice to meet Peter that caused events which ultimately lead past-Hiro to jump five years ahead; so, past-Hiro could come to future-Hiro's timeline only after future-Hiro had made the choice that causes the events leading to past-Hiro's jump? I understand time isn't linear, but I'm having a hard understanding future/past-Hiro's jumps and what time actually is. I'm confused. Time-travel is a damn pain.

i think they are different futures (the preview and the comic). i think FutureHiro and Hiro/Ando are in the real future. FutureHiro in the graphic novels is also in the real future. But I think the series is going to play with an alternate "what if?" future, and i think that's hinted at with Sylar's painting and the voiceover on the preview.

i like that theory with ted blowin up the place bc he's a pointless he can go join the new geico caveman TV its his power that we care about. and in the comic it says sylar was the original bomb so idk i cant wait to see how this weekend plans out and then i think its down to the three week season finale after this so its coming to an end

i still think peter will becuase i think hiro in the future when he saved the cheerleder peter was the bomb becuase ted goes to new york were peter absorbs it then KABOOM

It probably is Peter, and he probably does survive it by healing.

What would that even look like? He'd have to pretty much re-materialize out of ash and dust.

I doupt he actually physically exploded. Most likely, he started generating an uncontrolled amount of heat and radiation, and he was constantly regenerating while he was "melting down," thus keeping him alive.

that'd be lame. It shouldn't be possible for him to heal faster then he's "melting down"

yea i agree if he explodes he eitehr gets killed in the process or the radiation doens affect him

After much time travel and a glimpse at the dark future, alliances and enemies have been established and the heroes haven't given up their quest to save the world. But can Hiro (Masi Oka) stop Sylar (Zachary Quinto)? And can Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) stop himself from exploding? The first season, which has been a whirlwind of secrets and revelations, comes to a close with a thrilling ride that puts all the heroes' lives in danger — and some do not survive.

Who will the bomb be? Ted? Peter? Sylar?

Last night we saw the possible future where everyone believes it was Sylar, but Peter admitted to being the bomb.

Last week's graphic novel said that it was Sylar, but he was able to regenerate afterwards.

So who is it going to be?

Ted: he doesn't have full control over his power, so it's possible. he's also traveling to New York and will likely come in contact with Sylar, Peter, or both. plus, no mention of Ted in last night's future.

Peter: when he was in a coma, he had a vision that he was the exploding man. he's convinced that he's the bomb; Nathan believes Peter's the bomb, as well as Isaac (well, he did).

Sylar: the baddie. also believed by FutureHiro to be the bomb.

so who is the exploding man to take out New York, or will there even be one?

eh? No explosion?

I've not yet seen last nights episode so if there is anything in it that makes my theory void then i won't (And don't yet) know aobut it.
