I think it's ok to let him lose control once in a while. He can't be perfect every single moment, and having him lose his temper and do something stupid makes him more interesting.
 
yeah, but more often that not, when he is portrayed that way, he's a full time batjerk.

Yeah. The great things about Superman that truly make him special don't necessarily come from his powers. He has the ability to embody great empathy and understanding of the world around him. Like you said, he gives hope for everyone so we can all strive to be better people.

I love Superman.
 
Shirt rip. I know the suit don't quite lends itself for that, but I still miss a goos shirt rip, displaying the emblem in the chest!!!

I agree. It's been done quite enough for me but I would enjoy using a mix of reporting skills and other superpowers like superhearing(Smallville season 11 comic had Clark overhears something Batman said and piece it together with something he hears Bruce Wayne said earlier).

But on Batman side I prefer how Batman handled it in The Batman season 5 premiere "The Batman/Superman Story" part 1 and 2 where Batman used technology and detection to track him down to two more frequent spots the Daily Planet and Clark and Lois' s apartment or something similar to that instead of just Batman placing a tracers on him and following him to his apartment. I felt like that's a fairly better handled first meeting overall or the Smallville season 11 comic arc "Detective" where Bruce tracked down certain places and events that happens in the show to figure out Clark is an alien and his red sun weakness which slowed him down a little as well as Bruce seeing how Clark looked at the crowd and figured out he was dating someone already).
