Post Your Poetry!

My friend and I were hungry,
And he's all like "PIZZA!",
And I'm all like "k",
And we ordered it

took me a week to write

Poetry ON THE HYPE

NEVAH
Why am I not in the least surprised
That literacy by Batfans is despised
Heaven forbid that they be exposed
To something as radical as poetic prose

Wow. Big shocker. The hype once again reduces things to a Juvenile state.:whatever:

Mac 'n Cheese
Mac 'n Cheese
Taste so good
Make you wheeze

e: Post Your Poetry! Wolf

Ruby blood spilling on the snow
Horrified screams pierce the air
The moon ignites with an eerie glow
The victim’s tremble she doesn’t care
The yellow eyes sear inside
The scowling teeth rip the flesh
The poor victims run and hide
"Let them run it keeps them fresh"
The gnarled claws shred the skin
All these people will die
The creatures fowl and evil grin
The fear strikes them how and why
Terror in this Childs eyes
It has never seen its mother kill
Her kindness appears to be all lies
He doesn’t want to stay so still
He wants to so run far way
Away from all the screams
He just doesn’t want to stay
He watches as her eyes gleam
She rips and tears until she’s done
And then she runs and bounds
"And what have u learnt today my son"
He replies "momma I don’t like those sounds"
"You never will my baby boy
You will have to do this to one day
And don’t worry this is not something I enjoy
But we have to survive so lets just ... play"
He shook his head and ran away
His fearsome mother started to chase
"Fine my son you’ll learn another day"
And they wandered home through this horrific space

I walk the cold streets all alone
I only stop to bury my bone
I pee pee on every tree and hydrant I see
Sniffing butts as far as the eye could see
Anywhere I lay is my new home
I am Dog, I walk alone.

I borrowed the first two lines of this from a Dean Koontz book where it was quoted as being from The Book of Counted Sorrows, then added my own. I read this when I proposed to the woman who is now my wife of five years.

For of all sad words, of tongue or pen,
The saddest are these, "It might have been."
In those words, I now believe,
So for your, I shall no longer grieve.
I'll take this chance, this leap of faith,
For I am possesed of Romeo's wraith.
So wish I may, wish I might,
Have you, my one, my wish tonight.

Rhyming is out. Freeform is in.

Everyman

A girl gave me a fruit, and I saw myself unclothed
I’m sent from the garden into the wild.
Looking back, oh, but I can’t look back, I’ll turn to salt.

I longed to be human
So I begged the fairy to make me one
I longed to be human
So I gave up fins, and now walk on knives

The heralds called me to action.
The Mentor, with his beard and his magic
Guided me and comforted me before I found the sword,
And slew the dragon

With eyes that shot suns and muscles tectonic,
The villains cowered, my chest bore my symbol
Truth and justice were my sigils
I had Great Power
My mentor lay bleeding
I had Great Responsibility

Then I saw the maid in the tower

I saw her green light across the water
I would go to Tartarus to save her
I would climb the Empire State to keep her

But my crimes repeled her
She left with that man
I looked back, and saw her fading
The god did not deceive me
My body hit the pavement
It wasn’t the airplanes that did it

I sit smoking till my facts become elementary, dear
I miss garden, and my sled
I could have been a contender
I see the bottle saying “Drink Me”
I’m not drinking that formula again, Edward could get loose

But don’t pay me any mind, I’m just your average guy, and I have work in a few minutes.

Futurology

-- Mehzeb RC.

Hapless hopes of a civilized world
Have been prophesized and repeatedly told
But what’s the point of such a tale
When all we do is miserably fail

When wars are fought and blood is spilt
No one cares coz there’s no guilt
When children die of strife and pain
No one cares, there’s no disdain.

That’s the world we live in now
Murky plains with a desolate row
Warm to the touch, but frozen within
Static in a planet of corruptive sin

If smart men know from A to Zed
Why can’t they realize the mistakes of the dead?
Yet we live out normal lives
Replenishing our souls, where evil thrives

Corrupted we stand
Holding in our hands
The blood and dirt from far away lands

That’s what we are
Drifting afar
Our souls are black as road-bound tar

But time goes on
And walks forth life
Piercing through reality
Like a murderous knife

Darkness falls
With end of days
Black and White
At which we gaze

Brings out sorrow
Brings out pain
Pulling at our conscience
Driving us insane

Deceptive dreams of truthfulness
Haunt our waking sleep
Yet we lie without a reason
Because we’re in too deep

In truth we’re nomads
Lost in a desert of lies
The darkness seems to shield us
From all the shame and sighs

But if we’re lost and waiting to be found
Why do we sit still without making a sound?
Maybe darkness is what we need
For Satan to arrive and take the lead

As we wonder, as we lurk
Sitting in the murk
Satan smirks
Awaiting the arrival of us - the hell-bound berks

I have been in the mood to make a website, & was thinking about making one for my future writings. However, I don't want it to be this pretentious look at me web site, so If I made one that allowed people to drop there mad writing skills on there too. Would you all be interested in be the first ones to hop on?
